Well, not necessarily... the 1 ring is a fishing drop because it fits with the LOTR ring. Since there is no 2 ring in LOTR they could do whatever they want with it.

True but they won't make a drop like that easy to get through simple farming. You'd have to earn it by constantly fishing to get it. I mean honestly, what is more tedious? Running around killing mobs? Or sitting in one spot for hours watching a bobber?
