Was such a big raider back in the day, yet never even saw the end of Kara before i said fuck it this isnt fun anymore.

That is the main page for the Ascent server. I'm sure there are guides to set it up stickied there.

If you come across any repacked servers, just be sure there isn't anything malicious in it (they don't allow repacks linked at the above link, though).

ah, lots of the pulls were 2 pulls it seemed I just figured with 25 people they would be slow

Toxic has opened A PVP FUNSERVER!!!!!! It's in beta.

Each faction has one big room with vendors. You start level 70 with T2 gear.

YOu can buy basically anything with gold. You get gold by honor kills and winning wsg or ab.

Right now, ab and wsg are running.

AV is also up but it's basically a big empty pvp zone (think old school hillsbrad but you can spawn in 3 places).

This uses the ascent build to start with, which still has lots of bugs but it's fun as fuck. There are hunds and hundreds of players already. :D

Don't play Toxic.. Play on WoWScape(.net)..... The developer of Ascent is actually on the dev team of wowscape. There's 4 diff servers.
Wowscape (donation items ruin this server though).
Wowlegion (just like Blizzard),
Wowcrack (Blizzard but faster leveling).

All end-game instances on Wowlegion and Wowcrack require an actual party of people to complete.

Battlegrounds and Arena work. A lot of quests work, although some don't. They have active GM's who ban speedhackers and other fags.

There are thousands of players online on each of the servers. There were 2,500 on Wowcrack this weekend (at one time)

They just opened up the instant 70 server so it has less.

Hey Pessi, I was talking to one of the few co-workers who play WoW and Icecrown came up. Seems he's one of raiding hunters in Five of Five Improved QQ (http://www.wowarmory.com/guild-info.xml?r=Gnomeregan&n=Five+of+Five+Improved+Q Q&p=1) guild and he was one of the handful who was scouting Icecrown. They claim Gnomeregan sucks and they are looking for a guild they can join that's close to or at BT progression. Well he was one of two who jumped the gun and moved over, and the general consensus from the guild was Icecrown wasn't properly scouted and that it sucked. So as someone whose raiding BT on Icecrown, is there any truth to that or are they just pissing nad moaning?

As for the co-worker, he's apparently going to borrow his friend's 70 warlock back on Gnomeregan and learn to play that while he waits to move back off Icecrown to go back with his friends elsewhere.

Yeah that's what I thought too but I wanted to hear from an actual resident. And since Pessi is an asshole he does know a lot more about the game than most of us. Besides my co-worker spends a lot of time cursing out rogues, saying Cheat Death needs to be nerfed. It's funny to watch him vent about that.

The Ascent team and the WoWscape team didn't get along very well when I was messing around with the emu a couple of months ago (steming from the fact that WoWscape accepts donations for items, which is/was against the distribution policy of the emu).
