ICANN will be adopting a generic top level domain (gTLD) policy. TLDs are the highest level of domain names (.com, .org, .net, etc). Up until now independent organizations could not apply for a TLD but soon they will be able to. Right now the policy for a gTLD string is fairly lax, meaning common file extensions like .exe or .zip could be TLDs. Time to start planning for .tribalwar .
