What the fuck is wrong with sniper rifles

ill be looking at some asshole that isnt moving. i wont be moving. ill put the crosshairs dead on his chest and ill miss with 3 consecutive fucking shots

im using a goddamn R700 and iron lungs

You guys come snipe with me in hardcore. They are like sitting targets. 8 out of 10 shots were headshots last map. Ive gotta unlock my acog so I can snipe like jacob.

dude. i was on SHOWDOWN. HARDCORE. i was shooting at people who werent moving. i wasnt moving. i missed three shots in a row down a fucking hallway. its complete bullshit.

then when i practice fire at a target somewhere else the bullet hits exactly where i am shooting. when i shoot players that arent moving...woops miss 70% of the time

Yah, this was happening on the PC for about a month. Glad they fixed that shit, although we don't even really use a sniper.

Sniping works great on PC now. With the exception of maybe 1 situation out of 150, clipping and decals work fine. For certain maps, it changes the entire complexion of the game.

well after one day of practice and figuring out what i was doing wrong it turns out im actually pretty good at it lol

iron lungs. when i would snipe id press the thumb stick quickly, take a short breath and fire. and miss.


i finally realized i needed to hold down the thumbstick the whole time. your cursor goes completely steady and you'll kill the person 90% of the time if you hit them (w/ stopping power)

I don't bother holding breath most of the time.

I don't even aim. I just fire randomly and it says I kill people. Damn, I'm so good.

Improved Sniper / ACOG Accuracy:

Sniper and ACOG scopes have been tweaked and are really improved. I use to not snipe at all (mainly because I’m a horrible sniper), but now it’s so much more fluid and natural, while still having the same difficulty to use, it has no more “WTF I know I hit that guy!” moments.

Man. I cant wait till this patch. They are calling the 23rd is possible as its already been submitted to MS.
