Starting a 60 shaman from scratch...?

So i quit WoW 2 years ago "for good", disenchanted all my gear and sold shards, gave all my money away to a friend.
Now, that friend and my other friends want me to play again, and I'm thinking about it.
If I do start again, would it be worth it to try to get my 60 shaman going again? or should I start over at lvl 1. He has 0 items, so I would probably have to get help when I start off, probably in outland
My 3 friends are willing to help, all 70s.
If I should play the shaman, any suggestions on how to start getting gear back? Should I get them to run around with me in outland at first? or maybe some quick UBRS runs for some of the shaman elements set?

Don't waste any time in Azeroth. Have your friends buy you some AH greens, spec enhancement, beat the game.f

Outlands greens will be vastly superior to anything you could quickly acquire in Azeroth so don't waste your time there.

Yeah, have them run you through Hellfire instances over and over until you have enough gear to be able to start working on your own

you could buy those 10 gold white weapons from a vendor

have them help you with the first couple of quests in outland and you should have nearly a full set of armor and weapons, check ah for a few filler pieces. or just go resto and heal av for a few days and get the old level 60 pvp blues

I agree with the rest, pickup some AH of the bandit greens, some 2.6ish weapons and spec enh. Procede to beat the shit outta mobs.

Replace Bandit with Soldier. Buy any of the soldier pieces (mail or leather) and get two nice slow 1h weapons (2.6-2.7 speed). Run the Hellfire quests and get almost a complete set of what you need, focusing on Str and Stam first, and then Agil next. Ignore INT, SPR, Mana / 5, +heal, +damage.

61 you can get 2x Fist of Reckoning (enchant with Crusader) and you will pound the shit out of everything until 67-68.

This is basically what I did with my amazingly gay shaman Joemomma who just hit 70. I flew through levels.
