Apparently comfortable with the current exclusivity arrangement, EA and the NFL have extended the relationship until 2013. This means no triumphant NFL return for the 2K series among other things. Right now the only alternatives appear to be BCFE and the Euphoria based 'Backbreaker.' Supposedly the makers of the Euphoria engine were in talks with EA to try and get something done for the Madden series.

NFL 2K5 is still the greatest football game of all time.

This is unacceptable. I will create accounts of NFL broadcasts and publish them on the internet to retaliate.

NFL 2K5 is still the greatest football game of all time.2k5 is by far the best still, Madden 08 is a step in the right direction, but Madden still caters to glitchers who drop back 30 yards every play and go for it on every 4th down etc.

It's funny that it took Madden 3 years after 2k5 to realize that their animation system was fucking pathetic, and really it still sucks in comparison to 2k5.

Real shame, I was always hoping 2k would get another shot at it.
