Once a dungeon is cleared I can't go back and farm it Where as an arena team has to rely on 4 other people, can pvp as much or as little as they want, and have no competition for gear because you gain and spend your own points.

PvP in WoW is jacked anyways. Welfare epics and always will be.

What's the argument about? WoW is fucking carebear in general anyway. PvE for Loot. Farm for loot. All about getting loot one way or another with nothing to lose. The whole fucking game is carebear. What does it matter who gets what loot?

If you're a PvE'er complaining about PvP'ers getting loot and killing you, you're free to work for your PvP set so you can compete as well. I can guarantee a PvP'er will never be nearly as effective as a PvE'er in PvE content.

Once the dungeon is cleared, you can go back and farm it, the next week. Your rating fluctuates as you play, but you get points based on it ONCE A WEEK as well.

If you have the game on farm status, you get items potentially for a lot more people than 5 people.

Each piece of S3, unless you're in a 2000+ team, takes 3 weeks to obtain with the exception of throw weapons and maybe offhands. If your team fucking sucks, and you make 500 points a week, it takes you 3 weeks to get a helm. So that's what, 5 pieces of loot for 3 weeks? The argument that PvP simply takes time doesn't fly. For the most part, PvE simply takes time if you've got a competent group of players. Finding a group of competent PvE'ers is just as hard as finding a group of competent PvP'ers that can top the rankings week after week.

sub 1700, it takes nearly a month to get a single piece of gear. even the best players still have to wait for per weekly points and the best team in the world can't get more than ~1400 points a week

however if you know the strat for an encounter, that knowledge can let you gear up an alt within days

In PVE if you wipe to a boss night after night you gain nothing (even after the month you mentioned). No one style is harder or easier than the other, and competent players of any gametype will always gear up faster than some random bads.
