Flowen 02-12-2008, 03:01 AM stupid asshole you're a fucking dicksatchel cocktree Nail Bomb 02-12-2008, 03:41 AM i would be really fucking shocked if i found out that Flowen was over 16 years old. slick spic 02-12-2008, 03:57 AM when i pug in bg's i do. as a druid it's so easy to not ever die in a bg, esp as resto. even feral is easy, though if i'm running around w/ a couple friends just in normal pvp, if they die from us getting overwhelmed, i'll usually fly off. me being alive makes getting them back up easier once they res. not to mention that instant flight makes getting away in world pvp ridiculously ch-easy i don't just straight up ditch them before the fight even starts, though. that's a douche bag move. i heal, but sometimes you're just fighting too many ppl, or the fights go on so long from enemies rezzing again while you never got a chance to drink Fool 02-12-2008, 07:48 AM I was in a low level paladin fight two days ago (horde lower level Ret jumped by Prot). So dumb, the damn thing lasted 5 minutes. DeadlyRabbit 02-12-2008, 08:03 AM Getting in a fight with a druid is pointless for me on my prot paly, even if I get close to killing them they are just going to run. Only time I have been jumped by a single alliance in the last few months outside of BGs is when I wearing dps gear, I do dailys in full tanking gear and with kings so I have over 16,000 hp, I don't think anybody wants to waste time fighting a paly. styr 02-12-2008, 12:53 PM Ah, things like this make me miss my druid. Feannag 02-12-2008, 01:10 PM Getting in a fight with a druid is pointless for me on my prot paly, even if I get close to killing them they are just going to run. You'd be surprised by the patience of some people. The times I quested on my lvl 63 Prot pally I've had "stalkers". People that I spy just on the visual range, following me around, waiting. Waiting for my health dip to a certain point, or even waiting for me to pop LoH or shield. It's only then will they swoop in and try to kill me. More often than not it works, because they specifically wait for me to use those "life-saver" skills so they know for a fact they won't be an issue in a fight. I think the longest I've had someone stalk me on my pally was 25 minutes to 30 minutes, was a combat-specced mace rogue with S1 maces. And even when he jumped me and got the chance it still took him a good 2 - 3 minutes to finally kill me. As for druids, I usually don't pick a fight with them with any class unless I have a huge level advantage. Mainly because they can be immune to most forms of CC and their travel form lets them escape or pursue as they please. They can go bear, take a lot of damage while waiting for mana to come back and healing and HoTs to keep them well. Just not worth the time unless they're almost dead. I was jumped once by a feral druid on my prot pally and I ended up winning with a lucky combo of stuns when he tried to run. The dumb thing is that he stood no chance of killing me but he kept repeating an attack-run away strategy that kept me from doing anything productive. They know they won't win, and their e-peen was hurt by being beaten so they spend some of their time making attempts to waste your's and the fact is it works. I did that a couple of times on a hunter who ganked me and beat me silly on my rogue. So naturally I made attempts to stifle his questing. Using Dirty Deeds to sap him just as the flare goes out and just waiting. I think I spent 20 minutes on that guy, after 2 saps he logged out and came back in 3 minutes. Unfortunately it gets boring quickly so you kind of have to "steel yourself" into doing it long enough to leave a message. RebelToRumble 02-12-2008, 01:50 PM bare durids is for tank. a$e 02-12-2008, 03:08 PM i camped a prot paladin for ~72 hours on my druid. i wasn't at my computer the whole time but i kept wow open and when i could i'd take a peek at the area he was grinding in. i was rather miffed that i had a very low chance of killing a paladin in blues/greens while he was aoeing 8-15 mobs. Feannag 02-12-2008, 03:23 PM I'd find it hard to tank 8 - 15 mobs at a time AND deal with a player as well. But if I think about it, it's probably doable if you manage to slap a judgement on each mob AND keep it up. But I think you'd need an addon or something to switch swings between targets to ensure all the judgements stay. DeadlyRabbit 02-12-2008, 07:01 PM A couple of mobs on you if you have 5/5 reckoning as a prot paly can screw them over, if you have seal of command as well you can catch people off guard. I don't have anythig in Ret, usually I use Light/Wisdom to keep mana and health up. But given how obnoxious it is to me to AoE grind as pure Prot I'm gonna respec to a Prot/Ret Hybrid. Enough to give me some extra tanking ability and BoK and some Ret that could increase holy damage and give me some DPS when questing. Ddrakon 02-12-2008, 09:18 PM Reminds me of that day I was doing dailies with some guildies in Blade's Edge. Some rogue and druid kept ambushing us and then vanishing or running away. We'd often kill the rogue but the druid would just travel form away and flight form when he'd get out of combat. Then he'd just do the whole jump down and lifebloom then re-flight to heal to full in the air. I was on my shadow priest so I decided it was time to fuck him up. I waited for them to do their thing again, then I immediately got on flying mount and started to follow him. I waited for him to go back to caster form in the air to heal himself and as soon as he did, I dropped mount and hit him with shadow word: pain. It put him in combat and I watched him fall to his death while slowly levitating down. It was awesome. Took him like two full minutes to release as if he couldn't believe what happened, haha. Judgement of Justice - Spells - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=31896) Feannag 02-13-2008, 03:01 AM I dunno Seal of Command is way too random. If it manages to proc a lot it'll dish out damage like it's going out of style, but I have had proc droughts with that so stupidly long I switch to Righteousness or Blood if there's less threat around. As for Hammering a druid, it sounds nice in theory but it's too situational. If you manage to catch him in a form other than Dire Bear you should be able to get him before the HoJ is up, provided he doesn't Trinket out. But nearly all druids I dealt with on my pally my own level came at me with bear form, and you need to dish out some serioud damage to punch through all that armor. And barring trinkets and Hammering they can still entangle you, which you can use BoF on but it would definitely buy them time to throw a HoT on and re-morph into bear again. Just way too many tricks druids have to get out of various situations. Eve 02-13-2008, 04:26 PM So about about JoJ and them running away... | ||
