ferret 01-29-2008, 11:57 AM I'd suggest picking up a mod or two, like TomTom and Lightheaded.
It's basically GPS for your quests and makes shit so much easier.
So, if I download these they waypoint where I have to go for my quests?
Fitty 01-29-2008, 12:49 PM Lightheaded is connected to wowhead and it usually goes into great detail about the quest you are working on but it keeps that info in the game so you get the info you need quickly without needing to alt tab. When you see coordinates in Lightheaded you click on it and TomTom will display a directional arrow in front of your character with the travel distance and you just follow it. It makes questing very easy and saves you time.
Feannag 01-29-2008, 01:42 PM They forgot to tell you to get Cartographer. When used in combination with Lightheaded, you can click on the coordinates in the notes and Cartographer will waypoint it and all you have to do is follow the arrow. It may be complicated at first, because some zones have geography that's not as straight froward (see Feralas, Ashenvale) but once you get used to the zone it's a lot easier to navigate to waypoints.
*edit* I never used TomTom though, I always used cartographer. Lets you put notes on your maps and lets you share notes/waypoints with other people who have cartographer.

TomTom puts an Arrow on your screen which tells you which direction you need to go in, as in ===> means go to your right, etc. It's far better than maps/notes or looking at your coordinates. You simply look at the arrow instead.

Cartographer also does that, with a spinning color-coded arrow, distance to waypoint, and how much time it will take to get there at your current heading and travel speed. It can't take into account going around mountains, valleys, etc. but it works better well. It's coordinate system also goes down to .1, which makes it extremely accurate. It's a shame the people who post on Wow head don't use the same one, most of the time the coordinates are relatively accurate. Sometimes you have to root around in a 25 - 30 yard radius but with the new sparklies on quest objects that's not too hard to find.
Shadow13 01-29-2008, 07:06 PM I picked up DoubleWide, for double wide Journal Window, Tomtom and Lightheaded. Ferret, pick these up it makes like 100% easier.
Blotter 01-29-2008, 07:08 PM is there an addon that skips the fading in of the quest text, so you dont have to wait to click on "Accept". i hate waiting for that shit.
i had a mod that did that about 2 years ago, but any of the quest addons i have now (MQ, TT, LH), dont do it.

That's in the interface options.
First page, box called "Instant quest text."
