How long does cooked salmon stay good in the fridge?SweetbabyJ 01-20-2008, 06:36 PM It's 3 days in a sealed container, google gives me 1-2 days or 3-4 days- which is it, will I die if I eat it? Fat Steve 01-20-2008, 06:37 PM only one way to find out... good luck and godspeed Whoop 01-20-2008, 06:37 PM it won't kill you if thats what you are asking. HelenKeller 01-20-2008, 06:38 PM i'd eat it as long it doesn't smell abnormal TeckMan 01-20-2008, 06:38 PM without a doubt it is still ok to eat. It will last a week in a sealed container and still probably not pose a health hazard for as long as 2 weeks. plus what HK said you have a sense of smell for a reason. SweetbabyJ 01-20-2008, 06:39 PM yea the thing is, salmon smells a little fishy to begin with and it smells a little fishier than usual but not horrible. VonTed 01-20-2008, 06:59 PM 3-4 seems like a good bet, and my rule of thumb SweetbabyJ 01-20-2008, 07:00 PM thanks for the info, i ate it. didnt taste nearly as good as first time around but seemed ok. nigafool 01-20-2008, 07:01 PM i was going to say i'm sure it will not kill you but i have a cutoff of like 1 day on leftover fish, if not less i mean it's fish Artemis Pockels 01-20-2008, 07:04 PM its good to eat until it smells like your ***** owned. TeckMan 01-20-2008, 07:08 PM thanks for the info, i ate it. didnt taste nearly as good as first time around but seemed ok. did you microwave it? I reheat in a pan with very light olive oil and it will still taste pretty darn good even a week from the original cooking date. Phantred 01-20-2008, 07:19 PM food generally keeps a lot longer than 'is recommended.' Your nose and tongue will pretty much save you from anything REALLY bad. We've been scared to death of all things food ever since salmonella popped up. It's really silly. SweetbabyJ 01-20-2008, 07:42 PM did you microwave it? I reheat in a pan with very light olive oil and it will still taste pretty darn good even a week from the original cooking date. Yea just enough to get it warm, next time I'll try the pan. Rayn 01-20-2008, 07:43 PM a week is fine, honestly. Jungle Fish 01-20-2008, 07:47 PM just recook it slighty | ||
