This is my educated opinion:

I believe there are bonuses and detractors depending on the rank of the person killing and person being killed. So if a high ranked person kills a much lower ranked person they get less points since they should be able to take out that person. However if the lower ranked person takes out a higher ranked person they get a bonus sort of...

I admit I have not spent a lot of time researching this message string since points don't play a big part in my playstyle. All I care about is the win or loss of the round.

I care about a lot of things including winning the round. However, I also would like to know what the stats mean.

What does the [34/70] mean at the end of the stats line?

THe #/# has something to do with people being in a probationary period before they start earning actual points. I'm not sure how it works but different servers require a different kill total from what I've gathered. 34/70 means you need 70 kills to start receiving real points and you have 34 kills so far.

Like tuh-threz sez, since lower pointed players cost higher pointed players a large amount of points when they kill them you have to go through the probation period before you start taking those points. On Jiggly servers you just get 2 points per kill during probation and don't cost the player you killed his points.

I'd rather win the round than amass points, but I like the fact that it keeps detailed track of your stats and I can see how much of my life I've wasted playing each class on those particular servers.
