So, i started in January of this year with around a 3k bankroll after taking out 7k in December of 2006 after about a year of playing sngs/mtts strictly

i decided to start at .5/1 and move my way up. Marantz and a couple other guys from #thenuts really helped me as well as reading twoplustwo forums. I was already a pretty good mtt/sng player at that point and i figured the transition wouldn't be that hard. What a fucking retarded mistake that was. I sucked all the way until about may when i finally got my shit together. Here's my first pokertracker DB of this year.

my winrate is pretty small over a pretty large sample size but i had a 20k downswing in october which really hurt it, so i took 2 weeks off and then started back up in mid november with a new PT, and i've been doing better since then. I've thought about my game alot and although my 6max game still isnt where it needs to be i feel like im getting there. 3/6 on stars is really fking hard :\. Hu is pretty easy tho, ive made like 18k in only 17,000 hands so thats nice.

graph of DB one (this ones pretty sick..shows the progession from small stakes to midstakes and then my downswing)

http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/9889/40379503mq5.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

graph of db 2 (not really sick, kinda boring)

so, all in all ive made about 50k from cash this year, which isnt to bad considering i only started playing midstakes in june and i have less than 200k hands of it under my belt. Still alot to learn tho. I made around 10k in rakeback this year and another 11-12 from MTT's.

So, around 70k this year and i have yet to graduate yet. I've got 5 more months till i have to start the real world and i intend to play alot of poker up until i graduate. If i somehow do really well maybe i'll be able to go pro, who knows though. :]

that was a really long pots, i know there are some pretty good players who play here so lets see what you got.

The year ended up sort of a dissapointment for me, I was around +$400,000 at one point (without rakeback) and ended up at:

+$221,461
and probably around $30,000 in bonuses/rakeback
541,842 hands (and I'll play around 30-40k hands more this month)
Yes, My winrate is horrible. 2.35 all limits combined. However I do have 4.78 at $5-10 over 160k hands.

Next year I hope to avoid playing 50-100 & 100-200, no matter how good the games are, the swings will affect my everyday grinding in a very bad way... and most likely result in less income in the longrun, even If I were to win there.

I hope to make twice as much next year as I did this year, playing mostly $5-10 & some 10-20. This goal is just what I hope to make, I have no idea if its likely or not. My goal next year is also to worry less about winrate and more about just putting more hands hands in. I find that i get very tired of poker when I always try to improve my game and its really soul crushing to have long streaks where you dont meet your goals. I hope to play 1,080,000 hands next year. I'm setting my winrate goal at a low 2.5.

This was the first time in about 5 years I didn't really play any poker. real life finally got in the way enough that I didn't have the time/money to keep up the hobby.

I think I might have a stake for next year tho, and since I'm done with school I'll have a lot more free time :)

Jesus Christ, what you guys make is nuts. I have a friend who makes $750-1000 per week as his job (plays 6-8hrs per day) and I thought that was doing extremely well. He plays on CakePoker.
