When I get a headshot, I'd like it to play a local sound. Can I do this?

Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible. ;( kesh 12-15-2007, 12:31 AM I mean, client side canned noises go on all the time, like you HS someone and sniper goes 'thats what ya get for stayin in the same spot, wanka' or something. i wonder if i could replace them without being owned by VAC Spookious1 12-15-2007, 03:22 AM I guess theoretically it's possible. I've replaced a couple of sounds (without VAC ownage) although I haven't really tried this particular sound. It'll only play it client side side tho; the person getting killed won't hear it. edit... I guess the easiest way to find out would be to: 1.) Find out the filename of the sound you want to replace. 2.) Name your new sound with the same filename. 3.) Place your new sound in \steamapps\<yourname>\team fortress 2\tf\sound\... then maybe whatever folder it's supposed to be in... maybe \player? *shrug* edit 2... This page (http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Community_Scripts) or this page (http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Scripting) may or may not help; it may arm you with the correct information tho. edit 3... You could also try out some sounds from here (http://www.fpsbanana.com/sounds/games/297). It'll give you somewhat of an idea of how it works. | ||
