Hey music guys, found an old song of mine

This was created with a friend's band's recording. He sent me it, i wrote lyrics and sang into my mic at my computer. As such, i over power the music since i didnt have any programs besides Windows Sound Recorder

Also, i couldnt get into the song as much as i woulda liked, being self conscious about loudly singing back then and etc.

It'll go down in about 5 hours. Have fun tearing it apart :)

Ok here is my take on it.

You have a decent voice.

I like the lyrics. Except the word regurgitate. To me it is a typical anti conformity angst song.

You need better recording equipment.

All in all it is like Counting Crows meets Linkin Park.

ya, i've had people say they didnt enjoy regurgitate either. *shrug* I like it, three r's, gets the point across that it's an endless bullshit cycle.

it's more anti-anti conformity. the last lines are tongue in cheek, aimed at the idiots thinking conformity is death

i recorded on a uhh..
10 dollar mic plugged into my computer. The music was piped through on my 30 dollar speakers, and the mic picked the music up. Thats why you hear any music at all

so yes, i agree with you on the equipment

because it's late and i hate studying acct, heres anothing song (acapela) i wrote for a friend who is having girl troubles. I cant spell acapealea. Same recording technique, slightly better mic, but windows sound recorder:

It would make all the difference if this song was decently engineered. It could have a nice indie sound to it. I didn't like the lyrics much, but I never put weight in lyrics, I always concentrate on the music. Your singing was meh, but I can tell that with more practice and confidence that you can do much better. You know you were holding back, and that never sounds good. Project more, create energy, and make it sound like you're into the song. Like Minstrel said, you need recording equipment. There's no point in recording anything until you have something suitable to record with.

ya, when i can sing how i like to, loudly, i sound much better. Sitting in my apartment with room mates i dont like = no loud singing

lol
last upload i think. A very rough version of a song my old band created. 3 years old nearly now. The final version was much, much better. Recorded through one amp and some stuff that i dont know anything about.

Electric drum set

Goshin, will that host do any size of MP3? I'm thinking about doing an arrangement of a few of my tracks for everybody.

alright, that last recording was on: one amp with three inputs combined into one signal.

i remember we had a problem with the bass pedal fucking the sound on everything else when kicked
