are they going to be giving the season 1 cross bow away also?

I am hoping that so much s1 will enable me to fare better in the arena.

S2 gear moves to S1 spot in arena vendor.
S1 moves to Honor vendors.

Unless stated otherwise I would assume it is all weapons/armor.

Pretty much if you plan on ganking/PvPing. I haven't kept up with most of the talk about using PvP gear to raid but there's not a whole lot of raid gear with resilience rating. Before if you wanted to start arena it was best you get the lvl 70 PvP blue set. This simply upgrades it lot more powerfully (but is still outclassed by S2 and S3).

The weapons will be available.

Usually PvP gear doesn't translate well to PvE, but there are some exceptions (s1/s2 LOLRet gear for example).

Anyone got a link to S1 gear online? And if the honor costs per item are out yet? :heart:

Almost all the 2 hander weapons are priced around 27k. Some of the 1 handers are 9k-15k. I wrote down the costs of hunter gear and the bow and 2nder are both 27k and 40 AV marks.

before you get too stoked about the S1 weapons theyre 27000 honor for 2h...

and remember that the vindicator stuff (4 pieces) is another 50k honor or so. my plan is to get the armor first, a pve weapon, and by the time ive collected all the gear ill have enuf arena points for the S3 weapon.

but im a resto druid so its low priority... its probalby far more important priority for wars,rogues,etc.

I will be buying all the honor S3 items on tuesday. Already have dory's embrace.

As far arena, by week's end I will decide to get the S3 2h sword or S3 legs and S3 helm or chest (I would actually use chest and legs in raids)

I wouldn't recommend that. Sure, it's a huge upgrade over dungeon blues in PvP (hell, in PvE too depending on your gear), but it'll get replaced by S3 eventually (or S2 for shoulders if you don't have the rating). I faced the same dilemma since I already have all the veteran's PvP epics and I'm at 75k honor. I've decided to go for the Vindicator's stuff since it's around 78k for bracers, boots, belt, neck and ring. It won't be as much of a huge upgrade, but at least they won't get replaced for a long time, so I won't have wasted honor.

Once those are out of the way, then the "surplus" honor will go towards S1 pieces in-between the S3 stuff I get.

I also have 3k arena points for the Hunter axe and the S2 shoulders. I'll jump like 100 resilience as soon as servers come up, hehe.

Edit - Then again, I think you're the guy who bots, right? If honor isn't a concern, then you can disregard this post. I'm mostly talking about cost efficiency, but it's obvious that if you already have the Veteran's, getting full S1 is a lot more of an upgrade than upgrading them to Vindicator's. It will just take more honor total since you'll have to get the Vindicator's stuff eventually anyways.

S1 is pretty much for people who want to start arena and yet have no gear for it. If you have arena honor to spend when S3 hits you may as well simply save it for S3 gear unless (as stated) you're in dungeons blues.

I hopped on PTR and went through every slot on 2 chars. I wrote out what the exact changes will be from every possible purchase, then picked what gets me the best upgrades. That simple.

My lock is getting:

- s3 helm
- s3 chest
- s3 ring
- s3 bracers
- s3 boots
- s3 neck

My lock will then get the s3 pants after that and shoulders when i can. He'll be capped on resil & spellhit, with like 12.5k hp, 1100 dmg and 42 spell penetration. I can also swap in my Crescent trinket to hit up to 1263 dmg (unbuffed) in 5v5.

My rogue is getting:

- s3 head
- s3 legs
- s3 ring
- s1 mainhand (to go with my s2 offhand)
- s1 throwing
- s1 chest
- s1 shoulders
- s1 hands

That puts my rogue at +400 resil and fairly pimped out to do well this season as maces.

Warrior:
S3 legs
S3 chest or helm, I can't decide
S3 gloves
Haven't decided how to spend my honor yet.. maybe boots

Druid:
S3 chest
S3 legs
S1 gloves, shoulders, helm
Whatever combination of other honor gear I can afford
