First off to the guys on Tich. My buddy and i didnt abandon the server. We have about 2-3 mains each on crushridge. So we decided instead of nagging you guys for help and runs (we have do not have a friend network or wealth on tich) we plan to level on crushridge.. then get keyed with the huge reroll wave on our server then check out the TW community on tich then move our mains over then.

With that said.. What the fuck Class should i roll?

2v2 arena is prime concern to me. my buddy rolled a pally and i want something that will work good with him.

I was going to do a warlock but my buddy told me that he read warlocks do not work with pallys in the higher ranks. I debated rolling a mage but i had a mage before and i want the control that warlocks do in a 2V2 setting. Plus affliction from what i see is still VERY viable in PVE.

I really want to do a warrior. I read about the melee nerf (my ping average is about 270) Although as my friend pointed out. Finding a group for pve would be super super easy. I cream my pants at how fast it would fill up once i say "LFG heroic SV.. need 3 dps PST"

I am very use to a rogue so i am no stranger to melee combat. Plus i have a 70 warlock botter that i could switch to if i totally hated it.

what kind of state are warriors in? good enough to endure 70 levels.. then pvp?

I just want something with massive control now in a pvp setting that will work well with my friend's pally.

Any ideas on what i should do? i have a hunter already and am tired of playing rogues.

If your main focus is 2v2, then tell your friend to drop the pally and roll a druid, if you want to roll a warrior. That's the #1 combo for 2v2 and should be for a while.

Tell him to ditch the pally before it's too late

transfers to tich are currently closed, even paid transfers. tich and illidan are the only 2 servers that are closed.

who knows if they are going to be open once you guys are 70, but yeah, just a heads up.

i've tired and tired. He's dead set on playing his pally.

what's going to work with his class regardless of it being broken?

Also.. Why whats wrong with it? I am not defending it.. i just want to know for myself.

because a team with a half decent druid will destroy you, the only reason I could see you running a pally and a warrior is if you have a plethora of warrior/druid teams in your BG. Other than that, pallies are gimped in 2v2

Pally/Warlock combo is pretty nice, an easy 2k+ rating in most cases. I've helped a few different Warlock buddies in 2's, reaching 2k a couple different times with ease, high 1900's if not.

So try a lock?

If you're playing with a pally and only worried about 2v2, roll a warrior.

For 3v3 you're fucked if you're playing with a paladin pretty much.

I have to agree with the 3's statement. The most luck I've had has been with a warlock, shadow priest, and myself (pally).

We're 1963, and it's hard. :hrm:

if you are focused on 2v2 and 3v3, your buddy shouldnt roll a pally. have him role a druid.

you then roll warrior or lock.

either way, you're good for 3v3 with ease.

i talked to him about it for a while, he said that he wants to roll a pally for PVE encounters he's just going to arena with him.

So its between Mage, Warlock, Warrior..

What would give me the best edge in arena?

I am learning towards warrior. Ive never had one and with his pally we'll be able to run next to everything. Also the idea of dps fury warrior in kara sounds nice.

pally isn't even very good for PVE, your friend is a tard and he'll regret it

cant force him into a class he doesn't want to play.

i force him into playing feral druid, he hated it.

Ok..

How would Feral druid and priest work in 1v1?

If you mean 2v2: awful

That tells me a lot... Why? I didnt think it would be anything great but my guess is feral druid would be shit DPS. so they would kill preist ASAP then go after me.

kinda bleh dps, bad survivability in cat (forces you to bear [bad dps]), pretty bad healing, lack of a good interrupt, means feral/healer combo doesn't work very well. feral works best w/ rogues and mages, sometimes w/ another feral. really not that great for 2v2 though

in a feral/healer combo, i doubt ppl would target the healer first. all they'd have to do is target the cat, which would usually force the druid to bear form. bad dps in bear form means it's just a game of whittling down the healer's mana before the feral's team loses

feral druid is a joke in arena. period.

it can be ok in a double-dps setup with rogue or maybe a mage, but it's seriously just dumb to be a feral druid.

resto druids OWN arena for season3... so it's like being the most OP class and then shooting yourself in the face jsut so you can be a half-baked shitty rogue.

oh, and if he insists on playing a pally... you should probably role a warlock. then find a warrior to play with for 3s and learn the strats with a lot of practice.

you could also roll a warrior, and warrior/pally can fit nicely into 2v2 3v3 and 5v5

but warrior/pally will hit a ceiling in 2v2 against all the druid/priest teams.

pally has become pretty gimp for 2v2 and 3v3 compared to priests/driuds.

Nail Bomb held a gun to my head, so now I'm rolling a druid as my main, and paladin as an alt - he's making a warrior.
