Arthas is the same. The older servers are crazy overpopulated. They should offer free transfers.

it's funny that the two servers i play on are the only 2 servers you can't pay to transfer to (illidan and tich)

I know how to pick those high pops!

They finally disabled paid transfers to tich? Fucking sweet :P Atleast the t-dubs got in while they could, but the server is overflowing with arenafags from random servers that don't realize BG9 has more than 1 server or the fact that most of the avid PVPers on tich quit before season1 was over (or just afterwards).

2 times this weekend I went to login in hopes of getting in some PVP but was 175+ in queue so I just shutdown the PC and watched football instead.

Winter time, let us count the reasons for population surges.

1. In more states, it gets colder. People don't want to go out.
2. College students home for semester breaks and holidays.
3. The holiday shopping spree leaves people with less money. Playing WoW is less money on the whole than going to bars, concerts, etc.
4. Once the holidays are over, the Winter Blues set in as well as Cabin Fever. People play games to stave them off with nothing else to do.

don't forget:

5. New patch
6. New expansion looming and people resubbing

These are all common known facts and reasoning, but I choose to still bitch.

Dont worry, frostmourne just had paid transfers reopen after being closed for 6 months, and we're now on 600 queues as of sunday night.

Holiday season usually brings in population fluxes for the reasons I stated and the reasons Fool stated (the patch was kind of a big deal). And it usually declines over the summer for the reason college/school is out. And let's face it, only students have the amount of time necessary to devote to being full raiders. So when the summer hits guilds are usually looking for people to fill-in when they leave for the summer.

Yeah, except for the 20+ people in my guild that aren't in school and are full raiders. But other than that, you're right! (idiot)
