Seeing if there's any interest here before taking it to ebay.

12.1" screen, 1280x800 resolution
Core Duo T2400@ 1.83GHz
1 GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce Go 7400
80 GB harddrive
DVD / CD writer
802.11g wifi built-in

SD/MMC/MS/PRO/xD memory card reader
4 USB ports
1 Firewire Port
1 VGA port, 1 TV-out/s-video port
1 ethernet port
1 phone port
2 headphone ports and one microphone port; they also double as front/rear/center for 5.1 audio
front media buttons
Clean XP disc (no crapware, not a restore disc) included
'Vista Capable' (will run it with aero and the fancyness; any Dell OEM disk will work)

Only damage is some scratching to the dell logo at the back, and some scratches on the front due to the bottom part of the screen-section (not the screen itself, that's fine) rubbing against the laptop where there isn't any support.

It was ~$1800 CAD new. ~$500 would be a decent price (shipped), but I'll accept anything reasonable.

And some images taken from another guy's auction:

Nope, sorry. Looking at buying a Macbook Pro. Only downside to this laptop is the glossy screen. It's no more glossy than other glossy screens, but I've grown to dislike the style. Plus I've got a job now, so I can buy my own laptop; this one was a gift.

I just bought a laptop, otherwise this would be an attractive offer.

If it's still available when I get back from the field I'll probably buy it

does it have an integrated webcam?

Right, which makes no damn sense, eh? Ponder on it until your brain explodes, and be sure you record the event for posting on youtube.

the only concern I have is the slot loaded DVD drive, I'm buying a laptop for deployment and I'm concerned that this will will up with dust.

Well, it's not slot loaded, it just has a classic laptop dvd drive. The M1330 has a slot load dvd drive, but the M1210 doesn't.

This is what I'm talking about by scratches (and proof it's not a slot loading drive).

Also, youtube is crap.

How do you like the 12" screen? I was thinking about getting a cheap laptop, but I was going to aim for the 15". When did you buy it?

Bought it June 2006, so a little more than a year and a half ago. The screen is pretty good despite the size, which is probably helped by the fact that you use laptops closer than you do desktop screens. I've mostly done programming, web surfing, video/music playing, some gaming, and various such things on it; not so much graphics work. I don't know if the screen size would have an affect on that type of use.

The only thing is that it's glossy. Some people prefer glossy screens as they have more vibrant colors/no 'screen door' effect; others dislike the glare.

If anyone is still interested after veorx's post, please share. I want to make sure I'm not waiting on this thread pointlessly. Though I can wait, I'm not in a bind for money.
