She was on his paintball team and was the only member of the team to drive down to his wake yesterday (11 hours roundtrip from here). She couldn't make it to the funeral today and was really upset. She talked to him on the phone a few hours before he died and was supposed to see him shortly thereafter. Sounded like a helluva guy.
