I think Old_Skul, Sass and I are going to continue being a team. I like working with Mark. He and I are both a couple of old fuckers and we have a lot of the same tastes. Sass is an incredible singer and songwriter, wait till you guys hear what we are working on now. Speaking of which, I need to record my parts now.

I want to participate again, whether it being on the mix side or whatnot, Bomberman and I worked well together despite different direction, but I think next time I could follow his direction and it might go better (If we work together again).

I also wouldnt mind working with someone whos more experienced at mixing so i can see the evolution of a track and see how something I record ends up fitting into the whole scheme of things.

Cool, we need more singers in here! I think it may be an unfair advantage if, say, one band has a good singer and the others don't have any vocals. I guess we'll just have to see what happens.
As for team mates, I would like to change it up each time so I'm always working with someone new. If we keep grouping with the same people we'll end up with all the more skilled players together competing against all the newcomers. I think that would be lame. By balancing the newbs with more advanced players it'll make for a better competition, not to mention a good learning experience for the people with less skillz. The downfall to this is big, however. There will no doubt have to be some compromises made on the part of the experienced players to accommodate the weaker parts made by the "less gifted" players.

I'll give it a shot again if anybody will have me. I can promise unusual parts and sounds, and am somewhat decent at ambient stuff that could fit lower in the mix if that's what you're looking for.

Dudes, join up in #collective on irc.tribalwar.com, we're discussing the different rules for the next competition and it's just a good place for us to hang out and chat.

I don't do IRC :)

Are we going to have a common drum track again? I thought that was kind of a cool idea, as it lends continuity across the various projects. When I heard the results of the last one, I was blown away with the directions people went with it - it's a lot different than what we did.

pssst Minstrel...send meeee yooooourrr parrrrrrtssssss.....

I picked up my new bass. I'm available.

I play electric bass, fretless bass, and I have two spoons :) .

I have webspace for my team to use for ftp.

Is the next competition going to be limited to all teams creating music of the same genre? Or, is it going to be wide open?

I still have to get a digital interface for recording to the pc. Shouldn't be too long.

You do what the hell you want.
