I'd like to invite all of you to compete in Season 5 of the Team Rabbit 2 League. (http://teamrabbit.net) Team Rabbit 2 is a unique game more like hockey or soccer than Tribes 2. Teams compete to put one flag into the other teams net. This simple concept produces many strategies, and there's never a dull moment while both teams battle it out in the skies with fantastic passes and gritty combat.

The league is run on an independant site just for TR2, with the ability to easily track and view statistics and awards from Season 1 to Season 5. There is a T2TV broadcast (live stream from an observer, similar to a shoutcast) almost every week.

Never played TR2? No problem. All we ask is that if you sign up, you want to play one match a week, or will be able to show up to at least one match every other week.

You may also want to try Quickstart (http://www.tthreaz.bugsprae.com/Tribes/Files/TR2/TR2%20Quickstart%20v1-8.zip) if you want to learn how to play.

Sign up here (http://www.givemetheflag.com/index.php?page=tr2draftsi gnup) or view the current signups here. (http://www.givemetheflag.com/index.php?page=tr2draftvi ew)

A larger list including unconfirmed but likely returning players can be found here. (http://www.teamrabbit.net/tr2l/index.php?opt=freeagents)

Sign ups close Sept 23rd

A few changes have been made from last season:

Teams will be picked by captains in a draft format, BUT they can only pick players who they have not played with before. This will prevent the same-old-same-old teams from forming up. Exact details on this format will be decided once we get a general idea of the signup scale.

If you have any questions or comments, or you would like to be a captain, please contact me in IRC, "irc.tribalwar.com" #lofty or email me at brourke@gmail.com

Visit the TR2L website anytime at TeamRabbit.net (http://www.teamrabbit.net/tr2l/index.php)

even people who played male or female in base have something to adjust to, all the bodies are scaled up to help deal with T2s crappy collision detection

the flag usually goes through me or my intended target

obviously it's working

Played in a room with like 3 people the other day, just tossing the flag and catching mid air.

I sucked . . . . .

I really sucked - big time

if you know how to ski (in general, not just TR2) stick with it and you'll catch on eventually

you could try quickstart in the OP if you need help

It took me a while to understand how people were miraculously doing those mid air catches, but after a few minutes I believe, if I understand correctly, that it is all in the thrower aiming it at the receiver, while the receiver stays on that course that the thrower has thrown in; which makes sense enough. :P

The one thing I didn't understand is how people were slapping it; so I will probably take a few minutes to go through the tutorial.

Right now I have some issue with my game play lagging every 10 seconds. I think it has something to do with the hard drive, but I have not had this problem in other games. ???

To slap, hold the throw flag command (whatever that may be for you, default ctrl +f) BEFORE you get the flag. As soon as you get the flag and you're holding that command, you will slap the flag.

Thankyou .. .

Now for my hardware lag issue. .. .

Probably the last bump, we're looking for a few more people, probably going to be using six teams
