Hey TW,

I'm looking to learn to play bass (Orestes will be giving me lessons IRL), but first I need to acquire a bass of my own. Because Orestes has advised me that most of the basses on MF that are in my price range (read: really really cheap, preferably under $150) are junk, I've been scouring eBay looking for a decent deal, and so far have found these:

Fender MIM P Bass (http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-MIM-P-Bass-LOW-RESERVE-L-K_W0QQitemZ220143997569QQ ihZ012QQcategoryZ64401QQs sPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmd ZViewItem)

Vintage Samick Bass, P Bass Style Pickup (http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Samick-Bass-P-Bass-Style-Pickup-Fender-Strings_W0QQitemZ15015440 8769QQihZ005QQcategoryZ47 13QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1 QQcmdZViewItem)

Dean Evo XM Electric Bass (http://cgi.ebay.com/Dean-Evo-XM-Electric-Bass-Trans-Black-Finish_W0QQitemZ180153104 867QQihZ008QQcategoryZ471 3QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1Q QcmdZViewItem)

Fender Mike Dirnt Precision Bass (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260154154901&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=016)

Any suggestions or alternatives would be greatly appreciated!

Try checking Craigslist (http://www.craigslist.org/), Kijiji (http://www.kijiji.com/), and Ebosa (http://www.ebosa.com/) as well. You'll find something.
