High Rate Free servers

I cancelled and now I play on a free, high-rate server on the Utgard network. I have very little free time these days and being able to level a character in 2 days to 70 is fun enough for me. It's nice to get ridiculous amounts of drops and just fuck around and have fun.

My problem is Utgard is kind of buggy, especially in BC. Are there other free, high-rate servers out there? Anyone play on any they recommend?

I tried this out not too long ago, but all the servers seems to be that same way. Laggy and buggy. I used to have a big list of all the free servers from a website I used. I think it's still on my home computer. If I can find it I will post it.

So im doing some searching and trying to find a good US server. The thing i did like about utgard was it was a highrate not a fun server. No custom vendors ..only to lvl 70 that type thing.

I jsut found a US server LitionWoW (60 players online) (http://lition.dnsdojo.org/) and made a account. trying it out now but im not too sure about this server as 1 kill and i was lvl 80.

I am really looking for a US server that is good to play on as well

They are free. Meaning they don't have large funding to buy really good servers. Yes Blizzard is making a killing, but they also use the fees to keep everything running.

i dont know i guess its allright ..played a bit with it today.

The Gm's are cool and will jsut hand you money to go to the custom vendors


Thats kinda the thing that ruins it for me tho. Yea i understand you go straight to the end game stuff this way but.... i would rather it just be easy to get to lvl 70 and from there a challenge to get the great gear. Once i have all the gear from a instance i don't really want to play it anymore.

Thats jsut me tho. If you are strictly PVP i guess this is a decent server. lots of people where always pvping and it seemed the Gm's like to do PVP events. Also unlike Utgardnetwork it seems that raiding major city's is encouraged. Utgard you get bant for it

Hm, I don't want to be handed money or anything. I liked Utgard where it would take me about 10 kills to level and I get a ton of money and loot just for the fast progression, but I don't want insta.

BC was so buggy on Utgard that I couldn't play it anymore, though. Plus, server population was low. All the spells in Hellfire Peninsula were hitting me for 3.3k so I was getting killed instantly. All of the green loot that dropped had no stats, so I couldn't upgrade my gear. Also, using health funnel on your warlock pet will randomly cause you to die as a warlock. There's gotta be something better than this.

I don't want to go RIGHT to the endgame, I just want to get there quickly. If someone just handed me a pre-made T6 character, I don't know what I'd do after that, but considering I have maybe 2 hours per week to play vs people like in GD that play 50 hours a week, I'd like my progression to be about 25x times faster so I can still see all the end game content and not have to throw my life away playing WoW all the time. Fuck that noise.

the rates seem to be between 15x and 20x depending on gold, exp, drops, or rep.


the population is nice ..seems to have over 200 on most of the time.

Already i know a lot of things taht utgard low lvl stuff tha twas bugged is not on this server. Fishing works. Cooking works. All the low lvl human quested worked. The first low level boss guy actually droped its quest item.

im gonna play this one for a while and see how it goes. So far tho im liking it even tho the drop rates are a bit smaller then a true Highrate.

I think you're going to be in for some rough times finding a well scaled stable server atm. There has been some edrama going on behind the scenes with the guys who work on the porting, and now they've gone so far as reforming from Antrix to Ascent, with complete new svns, and patching processes. The db update cycles are supposedly hurting worse than they were before. Any TBC server is going to have a lot of bugs associated with it, including what you'd consider game breaking (talents not working, etc). I suggest you read the forums of which servers you intend to roll with and find out what talents actually work. While no server is accurate, many are worse than others.

On a brighter note, if you elect to run with a pre-TBC server, you'll find quite a bit working correctly. Then again, alot of the older ones use a different emulator base. GL!
