It even hurts to type sometimes. :\
Been a week and it's still fucked. So going to see a doctor tomorrow. Probably pointless. 3 weeks of 6 weeks of rest, but fuck. So much for the gym now.
Probably just be running and doing legs.
Bomba 08-13-2007, 07:13 PM do u stretch it? what did u do to it?
LIES
you didn't fuck your wrist doing back and biceps, you fucked up your wirst playing with your doinky.
[/spam]
Actually no. I can and have played with my doinky with no troubles. And I went kayaking on Saturday and had no issues. It's when I apply pressure to the palm and push like I was pushing a door open or doing puships it hurts like a bitch and gives out.
Bomba: I think I fucked it doing poor form curls. I think I might have gotten sloppy on the last set and not kept my wrist straight.
Gizmo 08-13-2007, 08:03 PM hurts when your palm is in spiderman webslinging form? probably just inflamed tendons, wrap it and ice it and lay of it itll be fine in no time! rub it in some milk or something like that.
i am not a doctor.
hehe mobility is decreased a bit
seeing a doctore tomorrow.
Just tendonitis apparently. Was told to ice it, keep off for 2 weeks (guess that would be 1 week because I waited a week to see him), and take aleve.
So I just ran on the treadmill today. Better than nothing. I guess I can still do squats/legs. But anything else is a no go.
Gizmo 08-15-2007, 11:37 PM ah, my friend did the same exact thing. ah well, 2 weeks off isnt so bad, try fucking up your shoulder and not doing anything for a month+ :(

i worked through my shoulder tear. sucked doing dips and hearing the popopopop
v5planet 08-17-2007, 03:26 PM I've done this too, although not quite as badly as you described. But I practice Aikido, so my wrists are extremely flexible and durable. I'd recommend doing wrist stretches before certain exercises (reverse curls can be kinda dangerous if you're sloppy).
I tried HIIT for the first time ever today at the gym. Hopped on the elliptical and just hit the button for Interval.
The first warmup of 2 minutes got me going a bit, then the heavy resistance kicked in with the ramp. After about 2 intervals of each, my heart rate stayed at or above 154 consistently for the rest of the time.
Not bad, apparently killed 500 calories. I think I will try sticking with this and see how it goes.
Highlife 08-21-2007, 10:21 PM You didn't compress any nerves did you? Numbness tingling?
noobfactorNF 08-21-2007, 11:08 PM How many lbs girly man?
You didn't compress any nerves did you? Numbness tingling?
Me?
No. Just fucked up the tendon. It's just about ready to hit the weights again.
Gizmo 08-22-2007, 02:05 PM Man, so I decided to give negatives a shot today, (been on the same routine for about 5 weeks now.) And I wasn't sure If i was doing it right or not. Should I increase weight on negative or is that more damaging to your joints? I was doing negatives on bicep curls and it seemed like it put a lot of stress on my elbow. I dont think I injured it or anything, its already stopped hurting (just got back from the gym about 10 minutes ago) but it was definitely uncomfortable and I dont want to fuck up something like my elbow :O I do see the benefits of doing them though. Thanks for feeding me info on a spoon.
-love gizz(on ur face)mo
Yup, so I pushed myself to hit the gym today. I almost didn't go. I was planning on watching a movie after I had my dinner, and that would give me enough time to digest so I could get to the gym. Well, movie ended at 10:43, gym closes at 12am. I almost said lets not go.
Got there at 11pm. Back and biceps today. I didn't do the deadlifts cause I wanted to spend more time working on my form, and with only an hour to go, I wanted to use it wisely.
Wrist is still a bit sore, so I took it light on curls. Went through my routine and got out by 11:56. Something's better than nothing eh?
