God damn how big are you? Btw, I find myself not breathing when I do this, for whatever reason i have to remind myself to breathe...

That's a good amount of weight to row.

lol, sorry, thats my max, i could only pull it a couple times :O should've clarified. I normally do reps of 150. Im not very big, but my back is my strongest part of my body.

I weigh 160 lbs and I can throw an extra 50 pounds on me to do pullups and dips. I dunno, my arms have always just been stronger then they seem, now if only my calves would put out the same amount of results :| I need more/better calf excercises.

? thats weird, I just shift my beathing to to the top of my chest and not so much through my gut. I take deep breaths and to these slowly

I always used to think that only noobs couldn't breathe out during the work part of the exercise, but then I found out that the reasons for doing that apparently have to do with the belief that you might blow a blood vessel in your brain, and the counter-belief (voiced by Rippetoe) that this is not something you need to worry about.

Actually, let me boil it down better: Rippetoe says not to worry if you have to hold your breath, and that's plenty good enough for me.

ps another pullup lover, rock on mate.

pendlAy

at any rate, I bet the Pendlay row is one of the exercises a person is least likely to perform with good form.

yeah i realized i kept misspelling it :\

ah well. and I have to constantly think about my form when im doing them as well, I do it in front of a mirror and look straight forward to make sure im doing it right :)

Get a bench and do bench pulls, same motion, less chance of hurting yourself (as long as you don't hyperextend your lower back at the top).

Bad picture, but you kinda get the idea. Stick your head off of the end of the bench. A full rep has the wieght on the floor at the bottom and tapping the bench at the top.

i do that with dumbbells on an incline bench sometimes, but it just doesnt look as cool :P
