I'm going to start looking into buying a guitar better then my shitty $40 acoustic. I'm still pretty much a noob with playing so I dont want to spend too much. And I think I may want to buy an electric.
I'm just wondering if any TW music people could point a few out in the 100-150 range (or even more if thats still a little low for a pretty good guitar).
Thanks.

The Squier '51. It's a discontinued model. Brand new you could get one for $100. On ebay you can find em for less than 70

god if you are going to play guitar, pay more than $100 for something that you will be using 3 to 6 hours a day.

Cue Alvarez... LOL ani I don't sell online... I have had a few peeps from TW from ohio and illionois shoot over to meet me and buy a guitar but thats all.
to the OP. Goto a music store and play the guitars until you find something you like... Don't fall for hype or people who fanboi certain brands... find a neck you like and run with it. Ibanez has their GRX20ZJB thats pretty nice for a "cheap guitar" they are $149 most stores sell them for 125-129 for Blemished models.

I've recommended it time and time again, the Washburn WI-14. It's comfortable, stays in tune, has decent pickups (for the price) and has great action.

I went to go check out a few at a large guitar store near me with a friend, and stuck around there trying out a bunch. I did manage to play around with the Alvarez posted, pretty damn close to buying it too. I didnt see Washburn WI14 Idol Series, so I couldnt play around with that one. Also tried basically all in the 150-300 price range.
I ended up getting a deal on this guitar $230(cdn) including miniamp. Considering my price range its not too bad and sounds pretty nice,

Once I learn some more I saw a really nice one for $500 that I wouldnt mind buying next...its always good that the name slipped my mind but it was really nice.
Now time to learn some more with something that doesnt sound like a raccoon being raped in the ass (aka. my acoustic). Thanks for the options.

Thanks. I'm hoping that in another year or so, once I don't feel like a complete noob with a guitar, I'll buy a better one. To start I think this will work well :)
