Post any models of either that you guys like. I wanna get a feel for their products beyond the products I have checked out. Thats one opinion though...
Don't slam their products if you don't like them, just don't post. However if you have any known issues you know of with the products please post those.
I just don't want a thread of "I hate tama, i play DW..." etc..
:D

I hate Ibanez, but the bass playe4r for my band has a 3000$ custom shop model that kicks ass.

ibanez acoustics have a wierd sound. Kinda bright yet still deep. Its okay to me.

ok lemme start this off lol. I am impressed with the sz models but I am a sucker for a string thru body design.

Yea Minstrel I love the Ibanez basses and that factored in heavily to me picking up Ibanez. That and there acoustics sell like hotcakes.. They have some of the best finishes I have seen in acoustics in a LONG time. I still don't get why they have Soundgear which go up to $4k Ibanez which go up to 3k and BTR basses... why basically have 3 names at the end of your headstock... its puzzling to me why a company would dilute their own brand name. All are quality basses though.

i've got an acoustic ibanez that was a $100 starter pack. action's not so great but the sound isn't bad and it resonates nicely. it's weird because it doesn't sound very bright IMO, but when i play my friend's tanglewood and listen to how smooth and warm it is i get jealous.
The reviews in this link sure are good for a $200 bass. I'll probabably get one down the road because it's do affordable.

Tama: The full line, man! They make awesome drums and hardware. I play a set of Yamahas, but it's just my intermediate step up to a set of Starclassics. The intermediate sets are amazing sounding for the price, and the Starclassics are just fabulous drums for recording or live.
Ibanez: They have several lines I dig. The good ole RGs are standbys for kids wanting to play, who are into heavy music. The SZ series I especially like because they're just great solid guitars. The wife plays an AS75 - the 335 clone - and it's awesome. You cannot go wrong with having a Jem in stock, from what I understand - for whatever reason, they sell. I'm not a fan, personally, but they are well-made guitars.
The basses are OK. Lots of low end stuff there it seems. There's a couple of intermediate basses that are decent sounding for the money.
