Shadow13 07-24-2007, 11:10 PM Anyone have a link they can pm to the download site for the beta client? I have a working key from someone who is no longer playing (he has no computer atm) and he is going to let me use his key while he gets new parts.
only problem, he doesn't have the download loc, or the email for the download link.
I DO NOT NEED A KEY. PLEASE DO NOT PM YOUR KEY TO ME I DON'T WANT TO KNOW IT.
I just need the link to the client downloader, or even the forums link to internal forums so I can check those (he doesn't have it either just his key and username / pass)

he had no access to the email computer/hd fried and doesnt use web mail but we got it worked out thanks

I can tell you if you do get it, do not let ANYONE use your key. Buddy as I mentioned above lost his computer to hardware failure, he was down one week. In that week I logged in one time for 15 minutes.
Next day he was banned.
I didn't talk to anyone in game, didn't give his key out, didn't read the forums anything. Logged in, looked at the character he made.. ran around for a few and logged out.
I don't know if the retard gave it to others though so maybe I logged in when someone else was already logged in. Either way, feel bad for him but if he did hand it out to a bunch of people not very smart - But as many beta's that I have been a part of, directed, helped from the publisher side I have never heard of them tracking ip's.. this game might be big enough that they are at least keep a close eye on it.

Tracking IPs is retarded, what about people with dynamic IPs like dialup and certain DSL/Cable people

Well in this specific case, im in NY he is in Cali so I doubt dialup is going to jump me subnets across the US. Who knows if they are tracking or not, regardless his account got banned so be careful. I do not know the details of why, as he does not have email back yet.

When i had Qwest DSL you know those ads "Find a fuck buddy in X city" Sometimes it'd say Salt Lake City Utah, where I am, and other times it be something totally random like New York, NY
