There really is no point to this thread other than to say that I am pumped that my buddy and I did this (in about 1.5 hrs). Im a BM Hunter (Mouthparty - Orc Hunter on Frostmane) and he is a Prot Paly (Tromboner - BE Paly on Frostmane) and we cruised through the entire thing no problem. With Judgement of Light + Scorpid Sting + Heal Pet the damn Kitty just would never come close to dying, and the paly would off-tank whomever. It was a glorious experiment and I felt like sharing.
Oh and my helm dropped. Yay me.
PS: It's really impressive to play up a class you knew nothing about before; you gain an entirely new appreciation to how many people sucked at their class versus the class itself sucking.

I started a hunter for the new Shattered Halls guild and it's making me think the same thing. We had a guy in our guild on my old server who last time I checked was level 56, he's been playing for at least a year. I've been playing a hunter 2 and a half days and I'm 20. I don't know how he levels so slowly.
Also it has me thinking most hunters don't put their pets on passive in instances.

the problem is with hunters in arena. ding 70 then do a few arena games. then come back to this post and tell me what your thoughts are on hunters.
hunters level extremely fast. its the only class that gets ranged full X2 crits and with auto attack you can kill with zero mana. as you gain mana your pet can kill things. i blame the quest system it takes a somewhat decent ammount of coordination and just finishing it.
the more i read about hunters end game the more it makes me want to level my rogue and be done with it.. Troll rogue :( it was the character i started when the came first hit store shelfs. he has teir 2.5 and 3.
Once when I was a wee little level 40 shadow priest, a 40 warrior and I soloed Uldaman. That was the day I truly discovered how bad Fade is.

Interesting that you should mention this as I, too, 2-manned SM. Although it wasn't the Armory.... NO! It was....

seriously though as level 39's we systematically pwned the whole level. I was a shadow priest, and my buddy was a frost mage. The final boss was the most ridiculous challenge that I've had to surmount in that game. The trick was to constantly swap aggro by Nuking as the other just ran around "tanking" like a chicken with it's head cut off. We nailed it on our third try just before the pats started to rez.
Suffice to say we were thrilled
