Hugo 05-22-2001, 03:27 AM The great thing about CS is that it still allows heroism. {CG}Pendragon 05-22-2001, 03:30 AM yeah - CS is interesting. once, I went into a room, and scored 3 head shots with a pistol on people armed with AKs and MP5s. - that was so freaking lucky - but most of the time, if I try that stuff, I die in a hail of bullets :p That was beginners luck I suppose... Hugo 05-22-2001, 03:34 AM I've played CS since Beta 4.. about two years ago. Things have changed.. heroism used to be a lot more prominent. I don't play as much anymore simply because the game is filled with so many assholes - which is part of what draws me to Tribes. Harlequin_Jester 05-22-2001, 03:36 AM +/- assholes? HazarD 05-22-2001, 03:36 AM this topic is still going on? {CG}Pendragon 05-22-2001, 03:36 AM the assholes draw you to triebs? wtf? Harlequin_Jester 05-22-2001, 03:37 AM Ok, why can't a post a plus and/or a minus sign? A51|iNjEcTiOn 05-22-2001, 03:38 AM cs is too easy. the team sux they keep changing the aim which sucks for dedicated players and betars. if u play small servers instead of going into campfest/fragfest huge ones heriosm never changed it cs. dats wat really mattered ogl sized teams, not huge 40 vs 40 servers =p t2 owns u all Cavalier 05-22-2001, 03:39 AM All you need to do is look at an [IE] demo to see what position that people played, and LD Doesn't limit you to sitting your ass on a flag and chasing. Most of the LD actually are what you guys consider "Versatiles" which meant they could both cap and chase, just that hey, they decided one person would do one thing, etc... My bad, maybe I should add He was a Versatile? Would that suit you Gigafool? Wulfen, You've owned all the T2 servers you've been in? I guess i'm ignorant, cuz is Wulfen your game name? If so, I have yet to see you once, and i've played alot. Hey Giga, wasn't it another topic you posted about how some guy had no life cuz he was responding to everyone of your posts. Quit doing the same to me, thanks in advance. And maybe you should read Docs posts again Giga. All of them say how T1 was a better game than T2, doesn't say that he Hates T2, and well, He doesn't say won't play, and is part of the "I Uninstalled T2 Army." Hugo 05-22-2001, 03:40 AM Originally posted by {CG}Pendragon the assholes draw you to triebs? wtf? What I mean is that there are a hell of a lot of fucktards and assholes in Counterstrike. I personally, don't really like that. I'm the type of guy that would rather make a friend than an enemy - and it seems more people in the CS community are out to make enemies. I enjoy the Tribes community because, well, it lacks the assholes I simply don't like to associate with. And Injection, you're wrong, T1 owns u all. A51|iNjEcTiOn 05-22-2001, 03:43 AM t2 > t1 :D i wonder how many ppl own natural in t2 Hugo 05-22-2001, 03:49 AM Well, it is my opinion, and I'll share with you why because.. this is a forum damn it, and I'm allowed to. The face of the Counterstrike community has changed drastically since I've started playing. I loved the beta stages of the game. I've been involved in top OGL teams, and had a lot of interesting experience in CS.. but everything changed when the retail version of CS came out. Thousands of super-llamas went out and spent the 20 bucks to install Counterstrike on thier system and all of a sudden the unique community I where I once forum whored was filled with newcomers thinking they were the shit because they just bought CS. It's comparable to the Tribes 2 newcomers versus the Tribes 1 vets. Also, it's my opinion, so blah. Rayn 05-22-2001, 03:55 AM Give T2 more time, you'll find it's more like T2 than you think. The cap routes and such are out there, its gotten harder and different, but the game is ok ... I just wish it would run for me :hrm: (yes I meant to say that ..) nigafool 05-22-2001, 03:56 AM Originally posted by Cavalier All you need to do is look at an [IE] demo to see what position that people played, and LD Doesn't limit you to sitting your ass on a flag and chasing. Ok you fucking idiot, I'll spell it out for you. Natural was a capper. In all of his demos, he either did HO or he Capped. I'm sure he *could* do those other positions, but he capped for IE. If Nat "wrote the book" on anything, it was on capping. Shows how long you've been in the base community. And again, idiot, you listed people that supposedly "loved the game," but I've seen Doc as someone who has stated he does not love the game, and that he likes T1 more. Christ, I play T2 a few times a day, but I don't love it, and I can point out its flaws very easily. I'm responding to you because you're a fucking dolt, and I'm glad you don't represent the renegades community as a whole, because I'd be embarassed to have you speaking for me. Hugo 05-22-2001, 04:00 AM Originally posted by Rayn Give T2 more time, you'll find it's more like T2 than you think. Wow, that's a brain teaser, lol :o Locke355 05-22-2001, 04:05 AM Please stop refering to t1 as a game that required "no teamwork" or "less teamwork than tribes 2". Tribes 1 required just as much teamwork, if not more. The amount of people required to pulloff something does not make it "requiring more teamwork", just means you need more bodies to accomplish one goal. As we went over before, t2 is filled with shit positions no one wants to play. Now just because you average 16 (or whatever) players per team vs. 10 does NOT mean that those extra 6 morons turreting / spamming turrets / in the cluster back chaining some tank make a game with more teamwork. You can (and is the case) have just as much required "teamwork" attained in a game that plays 10 on 10 as one that plays 16+ on 16+. Refer to LoLnOw and my posts in this tread on teamwork. If you really want to continue the "no teamwork" in t1 stance, at least do me a favor and bring me a rubber stamp and an ink pad so i can plant DUMBASS on your forehead. Hugo 05-22-2001, 04:06 AM You really are a sexy bitch. SmellyFish 05-22-2001, 04:15 AM Tribes 2 is definitely one of the biggest flops in game history. I personally went through stages of depression when I first played tribes 2. But in all fairness, Tribes 1 started off with newBys walking into walls and zapping each other with targeting lasers too, so though I strongly dislike tribes 2, the gameplay may pickup. lets hope so... wtf snipes? wtf? Shade 05-22-2001, 04:17 AM People need to face the fact that T1 is never going to be as popular as it was. If you want to return to T1 and play with a small fraction of the competition there used to be, go for it, that's up to you and your Tribe! However, it's easy to see that the majority of T1 Tribes have moved on to T2. New strategies, weapons, and vehicles have more appeal than a game most of us have played 2 years. You can't blame anyone for wanting to play T2 over T1. I don't really see how 30+ pages of this repetitiveness is necessary. It's like posting a thread about abortion or if the democrats or republicans are the better party, nothing is solved because everyone has their own opinion. Make up your own mind, and let it stay at that. Where's the "1 topic, 1 thread, now stuf it" army? | ||
