Why I'm not playing T2

We will just see how the T2 community is a year from now. Will you still have the fire in you to play this game... Who knows, maybe this stuff keeps getting posted because there are some good points that are being made and everyone is frustrated about it. If you are so annoyed by it then fuck off and don't read the threads. Simple as that.

Wasn't able to make the jump... and not making the jump because he does not want to... is 2 different things. I can tell you this. Alot of the T1 greats that aren't playing T2 much, could still jump in the game and kick your worthless, skilless asses. And you know it.. which is why you are so eager to bash them.

Uhm yeah thats it Dueling is king (it doesn't get you the flag or win in siege but hey you are a suparsnipar and know all)

U can cowboy cap in T2. Most dont know how to do it yet. U cant cowboy cap though on all maps. The main maps that u can cowboy cap are the vehicle maps like slapdash, archipelgo, katabatic, ect..

T1 had tons of teamwork but T2 requires more.

T2 will never be as fun as T1.

T2 is still a fun game.

The thing that kills this game more than anything is the pubs. Pubs really suck and will always suck. Most of the time is spent on pubs in any online game.

T2 does have cowboys, and they are noticeable.

Just like in T1, Pub games do not reflect what occurs in matches.

So now if you had said cap out instead of kick I might actually take it to mean you were talking about something other than dueling. As it is however using the word kicked implies to me a confrontation of a one on one standards from which I derive a refrence to dueling. I can direct you to some great dictionary/thesaurus websites so you can learn to choose the correct word for your little flame's to help make your point (idiotic as it may be) more clear to your intended victims

Editorial Note:

When someone says "kick your ass all over the place" when referring to Tribes, they do not refer to "being able to kill you with a weapon," although that is part of it, and does apply.

What they mostly mean is, they can play all the positions in the game better than you, have a better head for the game, and can keep up with all the changes you say are "needed," to get rid of "cowboy cappers," or other "teamwork-less" positions.

Lambast Nat all you want, say he "can't hang with the new crowd," or say "he was good at Tribes 1 and sucks at Tribes 2 so thats why he doesn't want to play it."

It isn't about not being able to play it, it is about enjoying it.

People enjoyed Tribes 1, and that was the main reason they bought it and played it. Then this community started to grow, so it was almost "inevitable" that we would all move to T2. Unfortunately, a lot of people feel it isn't as good as Tribes 1, and not as enjoyable.

Don't say Nat or any other Tribes vet "can't handle the changes," or "can't be a cowboy capper," cause I'm sure the tribes they played for (IE for example) would say the entire team had a hand in their cappers pulling off plenty of those caps.

Ok. More of my 2 cents. Tribes 1 sucked, because it was cowboyish, or a solo act basically. I think Tribes 2 is better, or at least will be once bugs, glitches, etc get fixed. But still... CS 0wnez all. :armed: And Fission, the graphix engine and even the gameplay for T1 was way outdated when it was released lol. Hence the reason why it was only a "sleeper hit" only a certain few liked it. I even think the Tribes 2 engine lacks in quality gameplay, but its still one of the better games out there. But hey man, to each there own. If you like Tribes 1,2 Quake 3: Team Arena, CS, EverQuest, JUST PLAY IT! LOL. Its all opinion based :bigthumb:

Am I the only one that found Tribes 1 beautiful on a Voodoo(and some good OGL cards)?

And what gameplay was outdated? I thought open air maps, a jetpack, and the gameplay that evolved from Tribes 1 was 100x stronger than anything else in the past 3 years.

I would have replied to nullper.. but Giga basically summed up my response nicely...

the-saint00.. you will be gone shortly.. once the new crop of games come around. I imagine you will be taking all of the non T1 Base players with you. I eagerly await that time. Remember.. this site/forum/community was built mainly by T1 Basers.
