Logitech MX518 - changing resolution ingame [Archive]

So I got this mouse yesterday and was tinkering with the software last night. With this mouse you are supposed to be able to change resolution ingame on the fly (up to 5 different settings). The software has an option that when enabled will send an alert when you've changed your resolution ingame. So I set it all up, got in BF2, tried changing resolution, and nothing happened.

So who's got this mouse? Those of you that use this feature, what am I missing? Should I be seeing a noticable difference when going from 800dpi to 1600dpi?
