It certainly looks reliable enough for a LAN Gaming center.
I'd make it candle powered before I used it to cool my LAN center.

I hear they're using this technology to cool missile warheads as well, so they don't predetonate like the one did over Pennsylvania. However, the one that smashed into the Pentagon functioned perfectly using its Nigger-Rigged AC with Candle Power. JohnnyX 05-14-2007, 01:41 PM That coil is not going to exchange enough heat into the ice. There's not enough surface area along the tubing (a circle/sphere is the least amount of surface area per unit of volume). You'd be better off with a radiator or a heater core. I don't understand what the deal is though, they obviously have electricity, why not buy a window unit? O_o Stilgar 05-14-2007, 01:41 PM So the ice is the heat exchanger as well as the cold input? It should crap out pretty quickly. Lord Elessar 05-14-2007, 01:42 PM I'm worried the water used as a cooling agent may spread the AIDS. T-Funk 05-14-2007, 01:43 PM its like putting a 2L bottle of frozen water in front of a fan im sure hes not expecting to make snow LGBR 05-14-2007, 01:43 PM I'm worried the water used as a cooling agent may spread the AIDS. The terrorists do not have access to this high-tech weaponry, fear not. Zombie 05-14-2007, 01:43 PM you might want to use some type of radiator rather than just a copper coil. iNVAR 05-14-2007, 01:44 PM get a fucking air conditioner ffs, geez. JohnnyX 05-14-2007, 01:45 PM  this thread was a huge backfire Baptista 05-14-2007, 01:45 PM That coil is not going to exchange enough heat into the ice. I don't understand what the deal is though, they obviously have electricity, why not buy a window unit? O_o They are retired and run a small dairy operation. Money isn't exactly at a premium. I won't stand by this and claim its great, I just built it with some stuff I had laying around. The AC unit is looking better and better as an alternative, I'm just not sure where they would place it. nigafool 05-14-2007, 01:45 PM hey guys im trying to help out my fiancees grandparents so i got them a car http://www.fetherolf.com/fake_car.gif BEAST420 05-14-2007, 01:46 PM  @ op Falhawk 05-14-2007, 01:46 PM i can't stop laughing iNVAR 05-14-2007, 01:47 PM They are retired and run a small dairy operation. Lord Elessar 05-14-2007, 01:50 PM www.homedepot.com do I need to tell you what to search for as well? Falhawk 05-14-2007, 01:53 PM When I was a kid I made an ashtray out of clay in school for my parents (who didn't smoke). They liked it because I was 8 and cute. Baptista 05-14-2007, 01:53 PM how about in the window??? Granted that is the obvious place but the wiring as far as I can tell hasn't been updated in the section of the house without AC which is why I did this rather than buy a window unit and install it. nigafool 05-14-2007, 01:54 PM yea they don't sell a/c units that run on normal current or anything | ||
