I have a lappy that consistently overheats to abrupt shutdown doing some pretty basic things like running the system cleanup tool. No idea what is causing this because the vents are not blocked and the heatsink seems ok.
I'm using RMark to check the temp and it idles at like 64C. What the hell is up with that? And for that matter, am I safe running it up into the 70s? Somehow I doubt it, but I do recall the die temp being 95C and that I set the bios to shutdown at 75 to prevent any damage.
