NVIDIA once again announces the world's fastest graphics processing unit until the next one rolls around, the GeForce 8800 Ultra.

Come May 15th, PC gamers around the world will be able to shell out somewhere around $1000 (699 with tax in UK monies) for video cards equipped with the cutting edge GPU with 768MB of memory, which runs 10-15% faster than the 8800 GTX, previous holder of the world's fastest title.

$829.00 US is the suggested retail price.

This mean the card I will be buying will be cheaper since the prices will eventually, sooner than later, drop cause this card gets on the market!

It's more likely that ATI's cards will force a price drop. Considering the lackluster performance that the reviewers have been giving for them so far, that might not even happen.

isnt the peformance increase suppose to be even smaller than that?

It will be good for Crysis benchmarks when that finally comes out, but there's no game that really needs this now. Still cool because now the Crytek programmers can program for it, and by the time Crysis comes out, maybe the price will drop.
