Pity poor Ken Kuturagi. The creative genius behind Sony's videogame consoles -- the PlayStations 1, 2 and 3 -- announced Thursday that he would step down as CEO of the company's games division, which means his career there will end on a sour note, the sound of defeat. - By Chris Taylor

You know it's REAL bad when it shows up on CNN instead of just major gaming sites.

It's been readily apparent that this (PS3) is an unmitigated disaster for Sony. It wasn't a matter of if major news sites/corps picked up on this story, it was a matter of when they would.

I thought I would be sent to a picture of a PS3 when I clicked on this headline.

i don't think the article presented a strong as to why the ps3 failed. xbox360 strived for the same thing as ps3 and was more successful, yet the article makes absolutely no mention of the 360.

Well it's too early to say that anything has failed or succeeded. It's a 4-5 year race. Calling it in the first 6 months might be a bit premature. Sony's real problem is that they overestimated the size of the "rich technophile" market, and on top of that they're sharing that market with Microsoft.

Got to agree with Fool.

That article is loaded thick with bias, sounded more with someone with their panties in a twist using an available soapbox.
