[Building a new computer] Need a good mobo for a the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300

An 8800 does good things for DX9 performance too, Non-conservative upgrade cost would be $60 to an EVGA 8800 GTS 320, probably less if you hunted down one with some form of rebate program.

If I were building to hold over till next gen DX10 cards were out I would probably go much cheaper than a $215 video card.

Just saying, to each their own though.

Still don't know why you would want to spend that kind of money on a DX9 card and not spend a little more for DX10 8800.
I have no interest in getting vista anytime within the next year. And i'll get a Dx10 card by the time they stop even selling dx9 cards and i can afford an sli set up.

Plus most of the games i plan on playing are Source Engine based (which this computer will handle with ease thanks to it being a great engine) and MMORPG's.
