Mining 300 and Herbs 300, took me little over a weekend :( Worst experience in WoW so far. Eh. back to leveling in outlands. ok, just wanted to rant.

What changed?

They are placing mobs and nodes closer together, and changing mob behavior so that they aggro if you mine a node near them, even if they weren't going to aggro you - just like chests.

Are they changing it so you can't mine/gather in combat like they did with chests? Pissed me off a bit, I'm so used to letting the pet tank for a couple of seconds while I gather a chest, herb patch, etc.

No. But you're gonna aggro stuff that's way off.

As the thread in the profession forums says "Skinning a bear should aggro every bears. After all, you are skinning their best friend". It's fucking ridiculous (hence the skinning thing becoming a mantra for some). I was mining on test realm the other day and yeah, it sucks.

hmm, ive been working on JC from 0-370 for the nightseye panther trinket the past 4-5 days...man. Boy does that suck, esp since my other prof is 369 LW. I'm forever broke, and lvling this new prof isn't helping any, esp since I have to lvl 350-370 with no world recipes.......

O.o, i leveled herbalism and alchemy to 375 in one day.

Alchemy isn't too difficult to level. There's a lot of world recipes that boost the training ones beyond what more professions will allow. Three alchemists and all three times got to 225 before I was lvl 30, without a higher level alchemist to feed them herbs they shouldn't be able to get.
