The Armory (http://armory.worldofwarcraft.co m/#character-sheet.xml?r=Deathwing&n=Bullshadow)
I ran into this guy while farming today. I saw him gain stealth and then shadowstep in spellalert. A few seconds later saw the hemo debuff on the mob he was on.
"Why would a sword rogue have shadowstep...hmmm". So to the armory I went. "Oh. I see" He just filled out almost the entire sub tree :disgust: Oh no wait. He's missing a point in cheat death and only has 3/5 camo.
The stupidity hurts.
skysnipe 04-22-2007, 01:01 PM Me no get it.
Feannag 04-22-2007, 01:08 PM Try looking for hunters, their stupidity hurts more than rogues.
Rogues = When fighting you are also the target. So you have to keep tabs on your own health.
Hunters = More often than not the pet is tanking so you could really just leave it on auto-shot if you wanted to.
Wow, that is pretty bad. It's hard to justify that when it looks like he raids/dungeon runs a lot. Bought character maybe?
Son of Mothra 04-22-2007, 01:11 PM i do enjoy looking at peoples armories and seeing what insane, weird horrible specs some have. some people just don't understand the game
Me no get it.
Okay well. Hemo daggers is just something you don't do. Hemo is not normalised. The damage modifier for hemo is ATK POWER / 14 * Weapon Speed. Based on this, it's common sense not to use a dagger (or anything fast) for hemo.
This guy is basically getting hemo crits for 600-900 tops which is what a rogue in bloodfang (with decent weapons) would have got at 60 (combat specced). My rogue wore some BWL/AQ40 gear and had HWL mace/Sand polished hammer and was getting crits as high as he's getting (and higher - my best unbuffed SS crit was just under 1k, best riposte around the same thing) at 70 with almost 600 more AP.
I thought he might be ebayed but in my expirience of ebayers...they at least have a basic understanding of how to spec (they usually just copy cookie cutter specs and then pick inappropriate gear/weapons). The guy who bought my rogue is probably one of the worst rogues I've ever seen in terms of gear choices (and he tried to spec hemo with a 2.4 speed mace...he got smarter since and specced combat) but this guy is definitely the worst spec I've ever seen.
Gandalf 04-22-2007, 09:25 PM ya know, I just gotta interject...
WoW is an extremely popular game. it's probably one of the few games that appeals to both men and women, young and old, and of all walks of life.
To that end - I know this is a shock - some people don't sit with a fucking calculator and poor over weapon stats, gear stats, crit chances, +whatever stats, builds, blah blah blah. Some people haven't been playing this game forever. Some people don't belong to raiding guilds. Some people don't give a shit how many times their weapon crits, their DPS, or how many HPs they have unbuffed. Some people don't worship D3 armor sets.
They just like to play.
Right or wrong, it's asinine to sit around and judge other people's playstyles, all you're trying to do is make yourself appear holier than thou and a better player, and quite frankly, it's absurd.
If you want someone to critique your build, then ask. Otherwise, grow the fuck up already.
um, i would bet he uses a weapon swap for hemo.

Amen
I have to remind myself of this constantly.

I don't alway see eye to eye with you but you're absolutely correct on this.

EQ player base at it's peak : 150,000
Present WoW player base across US and EU : 7,000,000
As true as your claim is, the deaf ears to hear it in this forum are probably a good 9 in 10.
you are a fucking nerd.
I'm a nerd for knowing math. Hooray! That's really good to know. Wouldn't the guy who bought his account be a bigger nerd for spending 300+ dollars on a video game?
Honestly, if I was walking around unable to kill mobs 5 levels lower than me without using every cooldown and dying, I'd probably stop and figure out why. If I was on a pvp server (where I played battlegrounds and attempted to gank people) and couldn't kill them after 30 seconds of them standing there with their back doing fuckall to me. How can it be fun dying to every single mob and not being able to kill anyone? I don't think he should sit down with a calculator and figure out every little detail, but really, how does anyone enjoy dying every 5 minutes?
As far as being asinine to judge his playstyle - whatever. People mock the stupid all of the time, especially here. Whether it's over a game or a real life issue.
um, i would bet he uses a weapon swap for hemo.
I thought that until he tried to attack me. Hemos followed by backstabs followed by hemos. I would think anyone who took the money to buy an account would at least have a basic understanding of what they're doing but apparently not.
Feannag 04-23-2007, 01:19 AM You know you could have just silently used this "moron" to your advantage and farm honor off him to either eek out a bit more honor for pots, etc. or at least to call other more worthy opponents for you to fight.
Good to know you'll always be here to publicly call out people for idiocy on a game because they may not have the same mentality towards the game as you do.

Honestly. what the fuck is the matter with you faggot.
Feannag 04-23-2007, 02:09 AM I see a lot more hunters with awful gear than I do rogues with awful gear. I inspect most hunters I come across and even at 65 - 70 I see a lot wearing greens that are completely unuseable for hunters. I see a lot of people wearing Gorilla and Whale mail, even a couple wearing Sorcerer and Invoker. I even saw one hunter with a caster staff (+int, spellpower, etc.) with + 7 weapon damage on it.
You may think a lot of rogues are awful, but at the very least they understand what stats they use and what stats they don't in their class.
I hate to have to agree with gand (the fucker), but my friend's 70 year old grandma plays WoW. I think she has at least 2 70s...
You know you could have just silently used this "moron" to your advantage and farm honor
For someone whos supposedly been playing since beta you sure have a poor understanding of how farming honour works. It's got DR. If I farmed him until I got 0 honour I doubt I'd even get 100 honour. You get more than that in 5 minutes of AFKing in AV.
Feannag 04-23-2007, 07:04 PM Free honor is free honor, no matter how much it is. Kill him a couple of times and leave. Don't have to hang out for 4 - 5 kills, just 1 or 2 until he either gets the picture and leave. I'm surprised you actually decided to post about this moron here, it's not like he's some one-of-a-kind player because there's plenty out there.
Also you may assume people who buy toons may understand their class at a basic level but you forget something in that assumption. And that is people may not actually care about playing the game before they buy an account. Also it fails to account for that simple fact said person may also assume a bought toon will be properly specced/equipped. He/she may simply be buying it like people buy normal games, just buy it and jump in and see how it is. And they may not have enough time to spend to think about the game, maybe at the end of their day they just want to unwind by running around in a video game.
But you're so WoW-educated I guess you forgot that sometimes people don't always play to win, earn honor, gank effectively, etc. So sorry I don't see WoW like that, I play for fun and that's it.
feannag you are also a moron, that could be it also.
