Hi,

over the past few weeks, the speed of the internets has been rather eratic. at times, its great, and other times, its way to slow for use.

When I turn the modem off for a period of time, then turn it back on after a few minutes, the speed returns to fast. however, it gradually gets slower and slower

does this mean someone is stealing my bandwidth? or is it virus time? Or is my isp?

That would be the obvious answer, but I can't figure out the default admin password. The manual says it should be left blank, but it wont work. Hence the problem.

I only have 1 wireless device in the house and thats my wifes laptop, I placed thw Wep 128bit encryption on that bitch. Even before that i disabled the wireless untill she got her laptop. When i went to Puerto rico for the week i shut off the modem and router.

I can crack 128 bit WEP in 10 minutes. Switch it to WPA.
