beeeeeeep beep beep

Asus A8N-SLI running SLI config. Started happening all of the sudden. It makes this beep noise and nothing shows on moniter, getting the yellow LED on the power button as if there were no card.
I looked it up and apparantly that beep code is a video card error. I figured I'd try one card at a time. I took the bridge off, took the secondary card out, and flipped that little chip over to single card mode. I tried it with the one card, same result, then tried it with the other card, same result. I think I may have gone wrong here and missed a step because I've never used SLI (not my comp). I'm not sure if I set it up for single card mode right, so if I missed something someone please point it out.

I then tried taking both cards out and using an el cheapo PCI card, same result. (Did take out bios battery to reset it during this time, that works just like using the jumpers, right?)

Tried taking out each stick of RAM, same result. As far as I can tell now it's a processor or mobo issue. If anyone has any simpler conclusions plz halp.

gotta be mobo if another pci card wont work

could also try another monitor (doubtful) but i doubt both cards crapped out unless the psu fucked up or he tried overclocking with too much voltage
