how have you guys been finding resilience gear in pvp? is it making a huge difference? is there a number ppl are going for? highest is best?

im not getting a full gladiator set any time soon so i was thinking of going for a little of both pvp sets to get 2x +35 resil bonus. is that a worthy investment of my time?

Apparently the 2x +35 resilience bonus is bugged. I could have sworn some mention in the patch notes about it being fixed.

Actually, no. It's amazing for some classes, namely 2v2 rogues + clothies in 5v5. It's good for all classes, but warriors generally don't need to stack as much, but the gladiator stuff is still the best PvP gear available.

resil reduces both physical and spell crits right?

i believe it reduces chance to be crit and dmg done by crit for both.

few people on here were saying that for non cloth classes its not worth it and stam is your best bet.

For healing priests it's great, in a way it makes up for the lack of armor on cloth gear and for the most part the stats are respectable. For a DPS priest like myself it's garbage, I'm no good in the upper ranks of arena either way as shadow but I'd probably lose 500 +dmg using DPS gladiator gear. I'd be better off with Battlecast gear.

resilience is a requirement for PVP.

Imp inner fire + resillience + boatload of stamina = able to kill rogues and hunters (if you have to) whilst in healing gear with sw:p, dp (save it for after they clos out of the fear like morons), and sw:d.

Resilience is a great stat. However, I must admit that I've been considering ditching my resilience gear and just going high AP for 3v3 arena. When your partners are an affliction warlock and a shadow priest, nobody goes for the rogue. I can't recall ever being the first to die in any of our ~300 games.

The problem with resilience gear is finding items that don't completely neuter your other stats. I have had better luck getting +stam gear for my mage. The resilience gear I have encountered thus far had terrible caster stats ... and I don't know if I want to load up on it and lose +300 spell damage.

The only resilience gear worth getting outside of Gladiator/Marshal tend be things like the healing dagger with resilience, maybe a couple rings. Otherwise the only quality resilience comes from pvping.

As a Holy Priest it makes a noticable difference. Any tanking benefits I can get help so I look at resilience as a bonus. People that get focus fired should still stack stam first and those that do the majority of DPSing should max that out over resilience. Our DPS in Arenas has a nice mix of AP/Crit/Stam etc. It really depends on the class.

The Gladiators set is very high in stamina and along with the resilience I can definately see a very noticable difference. With my current PvP gear im at 5% reduced chance to be crit and 10% off crit damage. It can be make or break in some cases. Im at roughly 13K HP in Arena so at this point im looking to increase my Resilience and mana pool more than anything else.

Obviously I dont do much of any DPS in Arenas but I hear our Warriors and Hunters tell me they can tell when a team is "Squishy" IE dont have resilience gear.

Again, really depends on the class.

it's extremely noticeable if they don't have resilience gear

The best bet for resilience is to mainly just get it from arena gear, and the set bonuses now that they are gonna stack.

Yah... lots of quality stam gear is available for mages and other clothies. Do you have a lot of pvp/arena gear?
