How many copycats will now occur within the next 1-2 weeks?

Tremendously edited?

Email sent out at 9:29

two people shot dead by elevator on fourth floor at 7:15

31 dead around 9:45

I did not make anything up or edit the events... If I did please point them out. Yes I am more cautious then most people, but in these types of events you don't fuck around with probably.

You forgot: by the time students are leaving for their 9 AM class they had police checking the ids of everyone entering and exiting the dorm where the first shooting took place.

At this point, there's no reason to believe it is anything other than a domestic situation - given that you know, no one else in the dorm was shot.

Has there been any confirmation that the two events were conducted by the same individual?

ABC NEWS is still saying there may be 2 people...

Yes, although it is not "officially confirmed" it is 100% certain. They are not looking for a second gunman for a reason. Watch the press conference and see the officer going back on his word a few times. He says specifically there is no search for a second suspect, at the same time he says there is no connection confirmed.

the first 5 pages are pretty funny given the enormity of the event and how lightly everyone on tw initially takes it.

you know this is a really good point

link_ at first titled this thread something like "Good news someone got shot i don't have to go to class" and then everyone had a pretty typical TW reaction to it. Nobody was posting good god close the school down alert the terror squad get SWAT there stat!

Only after the reality set in did it really take a more somber tone

ABC news is full of shit in this case. They simply say the took in a person of interest, not a suspect, and that he knew the victim.

Clearly the VPIPD need to employ psychics so they can divine the intentions of any criminals on campus and can also instantly notify every single person on campus of any crimes in progress.

Actually you make a really good point.

Even TW was taken by surprise by this, and we don't get taken by surprise by much. You can't really blame the police/administration for the same.

2 people shot dead isn't a sign for concern, especially when you have no idea where the shooter is. Let the kids go to class I'm sure the cops will protect them.

I'm surprised the football team is any good considering they must fumble and drop a lot of passes if they are from vtech.

Besides the fact the police/admin knew that 2 people died.

The fact that you are still arguing about it at 12:05am the next day is proof enough that the police did what they thought was right. There still isn't any confirmation that the 2 are connected.

You are judging them after YOU know all of this info. They didn't have the liberty of such information. Do you think they would have acted the same way HAD they known what was about to take place?

It's really the same thing with people that blame Clinton or Bush for 9/11. THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN TERRORISTS WERE GOING TO FLY PLANES INTO BUILDINGS!!111

or maybe within 5-15 minutes walking distance until the area can be cleared in an orderly fashion then class can resume after the fat fucking cops at VT (yes they all seem to love the donuts) get through searching for 15 minutes and ensure each building is clear. 7:15, classes don't even start till 8:00 AM, you have a killer on the loose. How hard would it be for the early shift cops instead of hanging out at dunkin donuts to do their job? Sorry, I believe in common sense and efficient, protective measures in cases like this?

Thats exactly what i was thinking Kizzak. I am not gonna argue with him anymore. If he doesn't realize/understand he is either trolling or really just that stupid.

9/11 is completely different

Most shootings are completely different, this one is slightly different for good reason. I am not arguing they "knew" they would attack again. I am not arguing that, I am arguing that they did drop the ball on this. Now you can argue all you want how they "didn't have" to ensure safety or sweep the area, or alert students in a timely fashion, etc. In the end 30 people don't give a fuck now.

Interesting that there was bomb threats called in to the school before this happened. There was just a bomb threat called into UT today. First time I can ever remember that happening.

you have no fucking clue where this kid was for that time. He absolutely could have been off campus picking up ammunition. He could have been eating breakfast in the cafeteria. The possibilities are literally endless, on a campus that large. What were the cops going to do, use their eyes of truth to spot the killer?

for some people they hear someone got shot and they truly think everything should be shut down. I have family that live on the east side of Indy and its no big deal for someone to be shot and no one be caught or for no police to even come.

Granted this was a large shooting and everything SHOULD have been shut down but 1-2 dead hardly warrants closing everything down.. 1-2 dead doesn't make someone think massacre. I wouldn't go out though :)
