Baby Bew 04-16-2007, 06:40 PM You know watching this Jamal guy and his cell phone video I got to wondering how fast I could whip out my cell phone and start recording video.
I mean it's not like you just press a button on mine. You have to go to camera mode, then go to the menu, select record video, and then hit select.
I just timed myself and I can do it in 6 seconds.
I will be practicing to better my time.
Tribalbob 04-16-2007, 06:40 PM from what I Understand via local news, there were 2 shooters.
SharpShooter 04-16-2007, 06:41 PM Ummm.. no.
Paladin-5 04-16-2007, 06:41 PM nbc news says that the gf and bf were arguing, then the RA showed up to intervene, then the bf shot the both of them
DocHolliday 04-16-2007, 06:41 PM I got tried of trying to catch up to this thread so I skipped ahead.
I have heard that damn video on CNN too many times now and I can't stand listening to those gunshots anymore. I will never understand how someone can snap like that.
Danno 04-16-2007, 06:41 PM Yeah I am hearing the two shooters thing here and there. Also for fucks sake Tribalbob what movie is that in thou sig?
Special---K 04-16-2007, 06:41 PM yea, this sounds like a crazy coincidence
the crime of passion in the dorm just happened to occur the same day as the psycho rampage
crazy shit
Due to TW's detective skills, so far theres the "RA" theory (but not sure if this is true since arguing with GF on a male floor?) and the 'love triangle' theory.
Love Triangle theory:
Shooter finds out gf is cheating
Shooter finds out the guy's name and location (maybe "ryan clark")
Gets 2 guns, tons of ammo and magazines
Follows someone into dorm at 7am, knocks on his door
Finds out his GF is infact inside, kills 2
Probably walked immediatly (before cops arrive) to other building then waited for classes to start ??
This is pure speculation, who knows. Now some news sites are saying there were 2 shooters?

Are you being sarcastic? It was the same guy.
SharpShooter 04-16-2007, 06:43 PM I can't figure out how they can't identify this guy. They know who his gf is (yes?) or hell he has to have some friends that he talks to that realize he's gone or would be able to piece it together or some shit.
DocHolliday 04-16-2007, 06:43 PM Does anyone else have a feeling that's similar to 9/11 right now? I have that weird feeling in the pit of my stomach like I had on 9/11. Its not as intense as 9/11 but that feeling is there.

Secretary
I can't get over how there's been no new info coming out about the shooter..... what he looked like, how tall he was, if he smiled, if he laughed, if he was serious, if he said anything.... I mean you have a countless number of witnesses that are wounded and who were around but so far, they've only said "Normal looking asian guy in his 20's"

i think that is the realization that we live in a supremely fucked world sinking in. don't worry, denial will soon overcome and the feeling will go away
Tribalbob 04-16-2007, 06:44 PM understand that i've been at work all day, so i'm a bit out of the loop, but i seem to recall a police press conference going on in which the cops were talking about two shooters, and how one of them was found dead or something...
but I wasn't paying attention so i may have misunderstood

Because like it's been said they have to get a 100% positive ID.
If you base it on circumstantial evidence then there is a chance you identify the wrong person and that's just not worth it.

I 100% understand this and don't want to put some kid in a horrible horrible situation but it seems like they could find a picture of the kid and his gf or something and say hey look hes got that same haircut or that freckle on his neck or some of his friends would call in or something.
I bet Jamal got paid a shitload for that video.

Students react to the tragedy
T.Rees Shapiro, CT Staff Writer
Erin Sheehan was one of four people able to walk out of her 9:05 German class in room 207 Norris Hall.
"It's a small class, about 25 people," she said. "And I would say no more than 2 people didn't show up, were absent. And of those of us that were in there today, only four of us walked out of that room, but two of us had been injured during the shooting," Sheehan said.
"It seemed so strange," Sheehan said. "Because he peaked in twice, earlier in the lesson, like he was looking for someone, somebody, before he started shooting. But then we all heard something like drilling in the walls, and someone thought they sounded like bullets. That's when we blockaded the door to stop anyone from coming in."
"He was just a normal looking kid, Asian, but he had on a Boy Scout type outfit. He wore a tan button up vest, and this black vest, maybe it was for ammo or something."
"I saw bullets hit people's body," Sheehan said. "There was blood everywhere. People in the class were passed out, I don't know maybe from shock from the pain. But I was one of only four that made it out of that classroom. The rest were dead or injured." She described.
"My professor, Herr Bishop," Sheehan said, "I'm not sure if he's alive."
