Bethany Zimmerman, student at VT, says she was not aware of anything happening on campus until 10:15AM. She is upset that students were not informed after the first shooting.

That's fucked up. 3 hours after the first shooting, and about a full hour after the second. What if there were more shooters...the communication at this university really sucks.

How could more then one door be chained and nobody notice? Were they chained by security as a 'lockdown' or were they chained by the shooter? I mean, did the guy carry around a shitload of chains while carring a shitload of ammo and 2 guns and nobody noticed or what?

From Wikipedia:

The effect of various concealed carry laws are the subject of past and present research. In his book, More Guns, Less Crime, John Lott's analysis of crime report data has shown some statistically significant effects of concealed carry laws. One major conclusion was that locations which enacted more permissive concealed carry laws had a decrease in violent crime, but an increase in property crime.

Don Kates summarizes the consensus reached by criminological research into gun control thus: "Unfortunately, an almost perfect inverse correlation exists between those who are affected by gun laws, particularly bans, and those whom enforcement should affect. Those easiest to disarm are the responsible and law abiding citizens whose guns represent no meaningful social problem. Irresponsible and criminal owners, whose gun possession creates or exacerbates so many social ills, are the ones most difficult to disarm."[7]

Regardless of the interpretation of statistics, the trend in the United States has been towards greater permissiveness of concealed carry. In Florida, which first introduced "shall-issue" concealed carry laws, crimes committed against residents dropped markedly upon the general issuance of concealed-carry licenses, which had the unintended consequence of putting tourists in Florida driving marked rental cars at risk from criminals (since tourists may be readily presumed unarmed.) Florida responded by enacting laws prohibiting the obvious marking of rental cars.

Did you even read that before posting it? What does that have to do with somebody going on a shooting spree at a school? The person going into a school to shoot people isn't there to rob anybody.

It sounds like there were 2 shooters. 1 shot his bitch for fucking the RA or something... Why would he be packing so much ammo if he was only there to kill his chick??? this does not make sense.

Maybe they were fighting b/c she new of his plans?
This does not add up.

Maybe the asian kid was shot in the face by the 2nd shooter???

Nothing. They said what they thought and they explained what happened. The news media is trying to make something out of nothing and its really pissing me off. They are already trying to blame the school and the police. The administration made the call that they saw fit with the info that they had. How would they know that hes gonna go on a rampage and kill 30 more people?? It looked like a "domestic" style incident--they figured he was leaving town/the state.

From all reports, there was at least 1 email sent out somewhere between 9 and 9:30; how else would you suggest contacting somewhere around 20 to 30 thousand students and faculty?

Yes, concealed carry causes lower violent crime. Violent crime = shootings, assaults, etc...

If I were going to shoot up a school, I'd pick one that didn't have guns on campus, rather then one where someone could shoot me before I killed a lot of people.
