Actually I agree with you.....

Criminals will always have guns, doesn't matter where you are, the criminals will always find a way to get a gun, the only way to stop them is to make them second guess that the person they are about to commit a crime on can shoot back at them.

They just reported gunman had no ID, hence they don't know who he was, same with victims.

Guaranteed someone who saw him knew who it was.

MSNBC announced that they are having trouble identifying the suspect because he had no ID on him, no cell phone, fingerprints brought back nothing, and he shot himself in the face to disfigure it.

That now makes me think this was planned well in advance and that the 'girlfriend' shooting was nothing more then a decoy shooting in order to get cops and security over from where he was going to do the shooting, also to force a lockdown, so everyone would be sitting ducks.

Whenever I hear about a mass murder, school shooting or serial killer my first thought is "cracka".

I very much doubt a 9mm shot to the face would disfigure it beyond recognition, thats media bullshit.

(of course assuming that earlier reports of police finding two 9mm handguns are accurate)

Don't force people to carry or give guns away. The people that care enough to train should be allowed to carry, that is good enough. I wouldn't be opposed to making gun safety a mandatory high school course though.

We actually had an underground shooting range for the ROTC at my high school.

Obviously the shooter in this incident didn't care if he died. You do not go into this sort of scenario thinking you are going to get away. When ever it is a single homicide, when a particular person is targeted, lots of times the murderer thinks they can get away with it. People who go on shooting sprees are crazy and have no fear of death/have nothing left to live for.

My initial reaction was pretty close to this. Although I can imagine people are in an intense state of shock, it really suprises me that no one ever attempts to attack the shooter while they're replacing magazines.

They're just people, the only reason why you give a shit is because they were born or live in the same geographical constraints as you.

I went through this long period of time where I was becoming increasingly depressed because I wasn't seeing many redeeming things in this world. Over the past few months I've been trying to repair my view of the world. Some people are successful in being oblivious and numb to the world around them. You know, ignorance is bliss and all that. But I just couldn't turn it off. The thing that wound up helping me a lot was shedding my selfishness. Not that I live for others or anything, but I forced myself to think outside the box. Stop thinking about how the world is affecting me and start thinking about how I can affect the world.

Now, I'm not delusional. I don't think I am going to make some noticeable impact on this world. But it makes me feel good that I am living a life that I can be proud. One with no regret.

One of the things that comes along with realizing how big of a bitch you've been being is you begin to notice how terrible life is for some people. That thought on its own is enough to make you depressed, but you can't do anything about it, so why let it bring you down? People have to make things happen for themselves, so I don't sympathize for many. But I do try to be nice to everyone. Even if someone is a complete cockholster to me, I just shrug it off. I know what is making that person so angry. I remember being there. So I'm just nice. No sweat off of my back.

That's fine, but if it happened that he ran across a trained individual with a CCW permit it might've ended differently.

He broke in during classes, went into rooms, blasted people up, left the rooms, and went into other rooms


I'm sure he had no probelm reloading during that time period. Its not like hallways are flooded with people whle classes are in session.
