Handguns are the real problem, and also cause of the most gun-related deaths.

Little known fact is that there haven't been any felony murders in U.S that resulted from machine gun fire for example, even tho there are plenty of them lying around in gun collections of private persons, and who knows where.

Or....... crazy people that like to kill people are the real problem.

Posted elsewhere
"The identification of the gunman was proving difficult because the suspected shooter did not have identification among his effects and was further complicated because of the severity of an apparently sel-inflicted wound to the head, according to a federal law enforcement official. He said investigators were trying to trace purchase records for two handguns found near the body."

That's the weirdest thing..... The media is not reporting anything about the shooter really... I mean, Asian, 20's is all they have.... you would think that some students would have known the guy or his girlfriend and would have information on what the hell happened.

I started to say it could ruin a trial, but since he is confirmed dead I'm surprised they aren't reporting more.

As much as I support gun rights and that people should be allowed to own and carry guns anywhere they wish... that's an absurd idea Tef. You know that. There is a 0% chance that everyone will respect that firearm and use it properly. Especially, ESPECIALLY college students.

Fair enough, I do agree it is impractical in the reality of todays world, but only because of what you mention above. People wouldn't respect that firearm or use it properly. (Except of course the Police, or those individuals who do respect and use it properly.)

I'm really trying not to detract from the tradgedy that happened today, or blame it on anything. I'm also sorry for discusing firearm use in a thread where it is most certainly on-topic, but where people are also looking for updates regarding the incident. This is truely my last post on this subject.

Hmm, so some girl that was just interviewed said that the first shooting sounded like someone fell out of a bunk bed.... maybe that's what took them so long.... the body wasn't discovered until later.

Not to be flippant, but with the efficiency he killed these people... I doubt it.
