yeah he did play it perfect. It's scary because this was clearly planned.

Since most of you don't know the layout of VT I can give you an idea of how he moved. West AJ is on the resident side of campus. It's the largest dorm at VT so there were lots of people that could have been hurt (thankfully they were not).

The class where most of the people died is on the other side; about a 15 min. walk for most people. It's right around 1 mile or so away. There are so many routes to take it would not have been hard for him to move to another building and no one would be the wiser. Catching someone right away isn't a realistic scenario unless a police officer got lucky or a bystander took him down. If he had gone into McBride instead of Norris the number of victims could have been a lot greater.

Yea its pretty insane to think about it. I lived in cochrane across from AJ last semester..and i know people that live on the 4th floor. op plix the TWer lives on the 4th floor of WAJ.

It's tragic.

My school has lockdowns too.
It's such a dumb idea.

If we ever had a real lockdown. I would asscess the situation, and if possible, run to my car and drive away.

There will be even more calls for gun control after this, which is, of course, bullshit. Although this siren system that a guy on FNC is talking about it is a good one.

Tragedy to be sure, but I also do not know why someone did not rush this guy when everyone was lined up and the shooting started. At least make an attempt because you're dead anyway! I really hate to be critical of those murdered by this hideous subhuman monster, but really..

you just can't say unless you've ever been in that situation
we have the luxury in this society of prety much never being in a life threatening situation....so if you're a college kid going through your everyday life, and suddenly faced with this, who knows how you'd react. Considering the vast majority of people usually do the same thing, just freeze and hope you don't get f'in shot, that's probably what you and I would do too.

edit: Yes they have SWAT. The entire campus was locked down within minutes of the second shooting. Quit fucking criticizing the police or VT university.

the cops aren't going to go in without an organized plan. its a slippery slope when faced with waiting for orders or busting in and increasing the number of bullets flying around. it would be mental hell to stand there as a cop and hear people being murdered.
