Greets.
I've never had trouble with this before at all...It should be pretty simple, but I can't figure it out.
In a nutshell, I can't host any games on Warcraft III. The ports used are 6112-6119 for Battle.net hosting. My router (192.168.2.1) is currently configured to allow traffic to those ports on my computer's local IP (101).
Windows Firewall is currently configured to allow all of those ports.
The only thing I am unsure of is my DSL modem...but I have the DSL modem in bridge mode so I can share the connection on my router. Would that interefere?

Even with DMZ enabled, nothing does come through.

RIGHT NOW...
Linksys Router:
DMZ is enabled.
Specific computer-by-IP traffic is enabled to ports 6112-6119.
Westell DSL Modem
Firewall is turned off (it was when I tried to see if it was doing something).
Windows Firewall
I deleted all the exceptions hoping they would re-introduce themselves. Nothing happened.

So it's most likely my router or modem...I understand the router configuration very well, but my modem configuration is a little different.
My DSL modem's VC settings are set to the Bridge Protocol, with my bridge settings set to Routed Bridge.
DHCP server (on the modem) is set to off (but it should be, right?) - There is another option in the drop-down that says "Private LAN".
Private LAN is enabled, but the Private LAN DHCP is not. (Since my router is the DHCP)

Your router should be set to open ports 6112-6119. Also it is good to set your PC to a static IP on the network.
For instance
192.168.2.1 is your gateway
192.168.2.101 is your PC
Now make sure when forwarding the ports you do what you said and specify the 101 in the application.
Also some routers do not work well if you try to TRIGGER the ports, Alot of routers this doesnt matter however with some it can keep it from working correctly.
Still having issues, I would suggest making sure you dont have any software based firewalls.

The thing is, it worked flawlessly with the Cable Internet service (but I was running Windows 2000 then), but as soon as I got DSL, the DSL modem is kind of a modem+router (even though it only has 1 Ethernet jack).
I'll reconnect the cable (I have both cable and DSL, cable for my parents-in-law's business) and see if it improves anything. Thanks :)

Now...
I've connected to the router, that's connected to the cable modem-- and hosting games is -no- problem.
Time to look for more answers on the DSL.

Back up to the DSL. Same ports open. Different IP of course (different routers). Still not able to host games.
IT MUST be my DSL modem, but I don't know enough about the Westell 6100 to configure it.

Leech your parents-in-law's cable. Problem solved.
