Blizzard planning to permenantly solve the gold farmer problem. (http://www.dailygaming.net/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=208)
Think it's true? Or a flagrant rumor to call bullshit on? Discuss.

Yeah that's definitely fake. I doubt any Blizzard rep would say "Chinese Farmer".

well, blizzard is all about $, so yea, i could definately see this being true at some point in the future (I've actually been saying that they should do this for a long time, people will want to buy from blizzard to circumvent the risk of being banned, therefore blizzard can charge a bit more than the gold farmers -> $$Bling)

I'd consider that 100% fake on so many levels.
1. It's an absurd thing to believe Blizz would do atm, phrased as it is (if they made us able to buy stuff with real $ then they'd market it positively, not in terms of countering farmers)
2. It cites a blue post... and you'd think there would be a SOURCE link to the forums... and that this blue post would be noticed by folks outside this news site.

Think it's true? Or a flagrant rumor to call bullshit on? Discuss. Are you seriously fucking retarded? Okay some examples:
In addition to billing customer’s cards directly, Blizzard will also be launching its own credit card company geared specifically towards Warcraft gamers. The only requirement for a Blizzard credit card will be a pulse and the minimum age limit of 18, and will be offered to players regardless of credit history, circumventing problems Blizzard has had in the past with players who maxed out their credit cards in order to spend more time in the game and were unable to get approved for a new one due to poor credit.
:domotwak:
The direct sale of items is also expected to finally quiet down casual gamers, otherwise known as “people who have a life.” The casual market has long felt left out when they get to end-game content because they’re too busy working regular jobs and having meaningful relationships outside of Elwynn forest to spend 20-40 hours a week raiding for high end items. The new system will allow them to spend money earned on the job for items that are comparable to what they would get from raiding.
Blizzard assured players that the prices for the items would be reasonable for the quality, and also said that they would be raising the prices of all NPC-purchased items in the game by 40% in anticipation of the rampant inflation expected once the gold buying system goes live. Blizzard has also promised that other direct-purchase items such as faster mounts and new class abilities would become available if the system proves popular.
I guess April 1st came a week late.

I dont think it's outside the realm of possibility, but they would never do it like that.

No question that it is fake, but blizz really needs to do something I get 2-3 whispers every hour from gold selling sites and I get at least 1 message in my mail box every day.
I know there is a addon to stop all this, it even will auto submit a ticket, but that seems pointless because by the time you get a GM to talk to you the account has already been deleted and they are spaming with another trial account.

I just found it, I never said I believed it one way or the other. To me it's possible (SOE did it with EQ already) but it doesn't sound 100% like Blizzard.
